Random picture from today...
It looks a bit lost in that carpark actually...
Quite hard to see in the picture but I have started going over all the trim with back to black :) so far the door handles and strips have been done, as well as the boot lock and spoiler.
Seams pretty simple then.
All these speakers I find in fleabay marked as 200W will work but wont be able to output 200W from most head units unless I amp them? Which chances are I probably wont bother doing.
My main reason for asking is that I had to take the door cards off yesterday and saw...
Just a quick thought actually...
I have been after a new head unit for some time and I have recently checked out the standard speakers in my car. I have read that there are component speakers in the front and coaxial in the back...
My question is, if I changed the front and rear speakers...
Ok fixed it now... I hopefully wont have to do that ever again, its one nasty job. As you said the entire door card had to come off which ment taking the speaker out and the interior handle off to get the card out.
Turns out it just needed cleaning up :)
Its not too bad to be honest mate, I would change the eye brows, mirrors and alloys though... in fact those alloys make it look as though it has wellie boots on that are 5 sizes too big.
The black trim on it looks really clean though :O im tempted to finish back to blacking mine tomorrow now.
I washed the car last week and used the back to black this weekend so no water was used on the car at all while I was using back to black... It seams unlikely that the locking mechanism goes through the door handle and that the back to black cream has goten into it through the door handle but...
I just went out to find out that my drivers door was unlocked while the rest of the car was locked... I seam to have a new problem that when I use the remote key to lock and unlock the car, everything works as normal apart from the driver side door refuses to lock...
If I use the key itself...
I keep forgetting to look at this on my car but where exactly is the exhaust pipe on a Ph1? I am just looking things up at the moment but looking into getting a new exhaust system later in the year.
The exhaust looks like its hidden behind the rear bumper and I have been told the standard one...
Anyone own the yellow R27 filling up at the petrol station next to Mc Donalds by the A10/A414 roundabout near Ware in Hertfordshire at around about 12:30 today?
Google Map Link
I have thought about putting a Ph1 boot door on there but, other than the fact I don't have any money at the moment, it will be quite hard to find one in the right colour... in fact I have never seen any other model of the Clio in metallic green.
Oops wasn't my reaction... I was going to post that one off to get it repainted.
Thanks, im not keen on the rear one... I think it needs another coat of gloss but then its only temporary so its good. The front diamond looks awesome though.
I bought some a cheap painted black diamond and rear Renault badge from here and they turned up today :D I just got them fitted to the car. Note they are actually tempory until I get the original badges painted to higher quality as having no badges and having the holes showing will drive me...
This appears to be the best I can get of the moon with my Canon SX110 IS with a time limit but its pretty much a follow up on the Quarter Moon photo I took a few months back which is shown as a link in the description on dA.

Quickie 10 min edit of already bad pictures of my Ph1. It was just to get an idea of what it would look like really as the plan is to go all black on green... so black alloys, black badges, clear indicators etc.
I couldn't find a good enough pitcture to add them but a new black spoiler and duel...
Just a little rant really... don't know if anyone else has this issue...
Im a college student so I leave my car in the student car park like hundreds of other people there yes 2 times out of the 3 days of the week I come back to my car to find that someone has moved the rear wiper and left it...
My first issue I have already resolved, although if anyone has any ways of preventing it that would be great. When I started my car up at lunch time I noticed the service and airbag warning light had came on... I have already fixed this by wiggling the wires under the seat, turning the ignition...
Ah, that wont work with my green Clio...
Im thinking of just spraying all the badged black seeing as I will do the same to the diamond on the front soon.
I posted last week about head units with USB/SD ports and after using a FM transmitter for a week now I think I have changed my mind on having USB/SD ports, which will save me quite a bit of money.
My question now is what units are stalk compatible, what units are display compatible and what...
Hmm, I can't find the topic now but I remember reading that you can remove the Renault badge. I don't mean the Diamond itself, I mean on the rear of the car it has the Renault text.
I have seen pictures of Clios, including the Ph1, with the text badge removed...
Here's the bit I was trying to...
I tried to debadge the rear of my Ph1 earlier today, much to my disappointment the Renault and Clio badges are pinned to the boot instead of glued...
I thought only the Clio badge was pinned?
I'll be out soon to get my own pictures then :D I have been looking for an excuse to take the camera out.
May I ask whos putting the calendars together and how they are being designed? Graphic designer looking for easy work here ;) haha.
