As standard the pipes are in a sh*te location, for the reason you have stated above, i have relocated mine when i changed the engine.
Go to Halfords and get some fuel pipe, it aint expensive!

g/box has had lots of use but is seems strong and still feels smooth, i had it stripped down and checked by a g/box specialist in walsall, a couple of months ago, they refaced one of the pinions other than that it was fine.
since then ive had a willy engine and g/box fitted, so its...
if you leave the engine in, then no, prop the engine on a trolley/scissor jack, likewise with the gearbox.
disconnect g/box from engine in situ and lift it out (they are awkward and as heavy as fook)
prepare to lose knuckles and gain huge amounts of stress.
Ive done it about three times...
but am i right in saying neither are as good as the willy F7R head?? (in terms of intake valve size)???
that being the case what power will this F7R/P hybrid make compared to the conventional willy F7R????
