no, he is on about 14k a year as far as i knowm his gf works, no kids, 1 credit card with a grand on it, 400 rent a month between them, Scottish justice system i guess. lol.
most def a guy at work seeing as how i have a thread somehwere on here celebrating when i passed my test back in October. Oh, and a clean full licence.
definitely not a lie, i went to the sheriffs court with him, gave him alift, it then turned out it ws at the district court so he was 2 hrs late, when we got there they handed him a letter with all the details in it, i laughed out loud when i saw it.
A guy I work with has just appeared in court after being caught driving without a full license and therefore no insurance.
His punishment? £160 fine payable at £5 per week, and 3 points on his license.
Quite lenient i think personally.
whats the significance of this question? is it related to the caf question of the original poster, or just a general query?
Only asking as I am thinking of fiitng a CAF in my passenger side fog light surround. Does the aircon affect it in any way, i.e. for access? Also, how do you fix the...
Its weather I would be able to get the colour to match exactly. The paint shop I went to is very good at what they do. MIght just get one section done every month.
Just been quoted £300 for front and rear bumpstrips, and side strips. This doesn't include spoiler and door handles. Said he would need the car for three days as well.
Just had my K-Tec stealth fitted to my 1.6. SOunds awesome, but isn't noisy when just cruising. Nice burble when idleing too. Only thing I would say is that at the moment its sitting a little low, so not exactly stealth, but will get this sorted out sometime in next few weeks.
Just out of interest, and sorry for hijacking, did you drop your car off and they did all the removal and refitting, or did you have to strip the parts off first?
Like said, its not a coil pack on the 1.6, its 4 individual pencil coils. If you need to use your car to get to work, you might have to pay the price being asked. That's what I had to do as I couldnt wait on someone on ebay bothering to get themselves down the post office and post me some...
I have just uprated the standard panel filter to a K&N. Didn't wnat to fit an induction kit, so looking at opening up the resonator box and cutting away the baffles using a dremel or similar, and then route the air feed to the front grill rather than behind the headlight.
To be honest though...
Its my first car, left it late to learn. Insurance is ok and like you said is still quick enough for me to be honest. Not sure how much climate control cost as an option but its nice to have it, that's for sure!
That's as low as I am going to be honest. Looking for subtlety with the mods. Yeah, did the dash inserts myself.
Sanded down, primered (couple of layers) then keyed for 3 layers of the paint, then wet flatted and airbag sticker before a couple of coats of lacquer. Was well pleased with the...
Think its more to do with the wheels. The standard renault alloys must amplify the sound a bit more due to the boxier section of the spokes? Different make of tyres as well I suppose probably make a difference.
Just been for a drive in it. Amazingly, and something I wasn't expecting, the road noise is a lot less. Can have my stereo on 4 levels lower on the volume whilst driving at 60!
Not every insurance policy has windscreen cover. Mine costs me my normal excess with Quinn direct. They only started windscreen cover in September. I asked if i could get it added to my policy, but have to wait until renewal time.
Would rather drive down to be honest. Can't be had with taking all the wheels back off. Plus I enjoy driving so its not too bad, can always pop in on a girl I know down there too ;)
My 1.6 doesnt have a coil pack. It uses individual pencil ignition coils. Had to get two in a hurry before christmas and so had to go to Renault. Ended up costing me £73.98 for 2! Have seen them on an Ebay shop for £35ish for four since then though.
