Exactly, its been an absolute mare.
A lass at work has a J reg Honda CRX, just flew through its MOT, she just keeps levels topped up, services it, tyres and brake pads etc. NOTHING has gone wrong with it in 3 years, its worth about 2.5K.
Like previously said, no time to wait for parts to arrive from sources such as those, if they even have them. As i need my car to get to work, and dont get paid if I don't go.
in what way?
I need my car to get to work, if i dont go, i dont get paid. So like i said in original post, no time to wait for ebay specials, and everyone on here always says dont buy pattern parts, but buy renault parts.
Add up the costs since January, I know servicing is an expected cost, but since January:
36K Service and belts changed = £515
Four new ignition coils = approx £140
Driveshaft replaced = £320
Other driveshaft to be replaced = £320
So in total = £1295 in 4 and a half months, what a...
Think its time i bought a car that doesnt fall apart every month.
Since buying it in May 2007, it has needed the following done:
New external temp sensor
4 ignition coils, which I was forced to buy from Renault as needed the car running to get to work, didnt have time to wait for Ebay jobs...
Thinking of selling my OZ alloys and returning my car to a standard look by sticking the dynamique alloys back on.
16" OZ SuperTrismo GTs in silver. Offset ET 37 with Toyo Proxes tyres in 195/45/16.
One rear alloy curbed slightly, (i believe by the garage when it was in for adriveshaft...
Think you are looking at £350 plus for the athermic windscreen. I need a new one for my Dynamique, thinking of just having a standard one put in. Cheaper to replace in future, and I can decide for myself when to put windscreen wipers on, and usually override the auto wiper function anyway.
Whats the curent offset? My 1.6 Dynamique alloys were ET43, and I have fitted ET37 OZ Super-Ts.
If the offset is going down, you don't need spacers, if you were increasing the offset, that is when you need spacers.
Got my insurance renewal from Quinn Direct, paying monthly it is £488.00.
Got some quotes based on same details, here are some examples -
Adrian Flux - £724.60 (before any monthly charges)
The closest I could get was Kwik Fit at £490.00
How come there can be such a difference? Do they...
cool, quite interested in any method of keeping it a bit higher, going to try and have a play with it on my day off, possibly pack out the rubers on the rear mount.
mine is the sports one, yes
It was one of the Eibachs that was broken, only bought them in July last year. So in order to pass its MOT I had to put the standard rear springs back on. Good news though is that my replacement is now in the country after being flown over from Germany for me.
I have one fitted to mine, its ok, possibly a bit raspy to be honest at times, and definitely isnt stealth. I fitted a new rear exhaust mount at same time so it isnt sitting low cos of worn mount or anything, it just isnt stealth...
Well, my car failed its MOT on friday as the rear offside spring was fractured. Eibach Pros, so emailed pics to the place I bought them and they have just got back to me to let me know a replacement is being flown over from Germany for me.
Good customer service I think, hats off to POTN and...
