No Nick, its like this....
you, and many others, fall for the age old crap that has been going around for donkeys years...
Limited knowledge means limited understanding and you seem to be suffering that - in many areas..
Tims blistering run is cos he handles the throttle clutch balance...
Just to clarify ... I meant the optimism on the 5 gtt...
or to put it another way.. yes it may be capable of that time.. but could not be run like that for any length of time....
probably not very accurate craggy.. looking at those times... :devilish:... me thinks they may be a bit optimistic.. but depends on whats been done..
Joe.
hee hee,
Sylvia, its a simple control box to connect the unit to the pc to program the flash memory in the microcontroller.. did that help lol ??.:)
this is not the actual progressive controller, its my generic microprocessor development system for the PIC (Microchip) series of controllers...

lol.. well, its pissing down here in lancs.. so I thought I would make a start on the nos controller for the 172..
heres a shot of the development kit :devilish::D
the first stage - the PWM pulsoid driver works great.. looking at the ignition r****d next, then the gear sensors (easy) and the...

Nick, one day you will accept that the ram air effect does not do anything for you..
I take it you are using a fully calibrated instantaneous gas analyser for these mixture readings... ???
or,
perhaps a cheapo lambda light jobbie that wont work effectively.. the manufacturer does not use...
Brun, the 400 you quote is misleading m8, sorry.. the base unit is just over 400 plus vat. Then you need a full harness, appropriate sensors, and mapping.. look for nearer 1-1.5 k.
Joe.
all you need to know Nick is that a throttle body is NOT a carb or even similar.
it is simply a tube with a butterfly valve in it.
you would need programmable ecu with it too.
as Simon says, not for a grand , no way. The ecu would cost you that with sensors, harness and mapping, possibly...
normally I would recmmend thrashing it when fully warmed up, but, if you are taking such a leap in peformance, then you would be better following the guidelines in the owners handbook for running in and getting used to the car over a period of time.
As for the wet.. ALL cars need considerate...
Hi Tim.. heres my thoughts.... :)
Not sure you will need the forged jobbies at all.. and be careful of considering the cr upping if you intend to run nitrous.
Balancing is fine, but unless you intend to rev more - not really beneficial or cost effective. (and I wouldnt like to rev the std...
I yhink the rule is witihn a mile so they can be baughty and put signs on one road that relate to a camera on another nearly road.
best thing, Niel, is to get a geodessy or similar gps / databse unit.
Joe.
