It's a nice sounding exhaust mate. I've got mine on now, sounds quite like yours, I've been doing so much driving without music now just to listen to the exhaust (sad).
My mate had a Magnex box on a Mk4 Golf that was similar, very little sound until it was warm.

Should be ok on the wiring front - you'll need an aerial adapter. I'm pretty sure it'll need a fascia adapter as well. After 2005 they changed the wiring to some dodgy connector, as yours is 2002 it won't be affected.
