Re: **South East Meet 25th November**
I think in reality most of the meets that are organised on here attendence numbers are halved if not more from the list that gets posted up but that's not the point really. Good luck anyway :)
He'll be lucky if he gets 6 month's use out of that before it breaks imo. I've had them Chinese units in my car, and I've sold them on Ebay so I know about the quality of them and tbh they were shite.
The sound quality on them leaves a bit to be desired as well imo, the 2 I had didn't produce...
I assume you've tried pushing it back then pulling it forward? Like, when your belt gets stuck you kind have to push it back in before it will come out any more to unlock it sort of thing.
Sorry you're having so much trouble with this fella lol.
I assume that will ground it yeah, I'm no expert on the gauges of wiring but I don't see why not, it all conducts.
I mean just in the car behind the thumb screw yeah, you can't really get to the cluster side.
It's either scrape some paint somewhere or do a dirty scotchlock onto the light...
Yes, no ground means the amp won't turn on. A Voltmeter also needs to be grounded does it not?
You don't need to do a great deal, a place I successfully grounded was where the light's are bolted in, just scrape the paint of with a screwdriver (doesn't need to be pretty nobody's going to see...
If you did it to the strut top that won't ground it iirc (talking from my own experiences, grounded my first amp by putting the ring over the top of the strut and it didn't work). Sounds like a grounding or a fuse problem, no other reason it wouldn't be turning on if the remote cable's wired up...
If you've got that clock thing on the top of the dash above the headunit then you need the one that says 'with remote display'.
It'll display like Alpine or Pioneer or whatever on there when it's turned on probably.
I've had a breif search but couldn't find much helpful.
I've got a Mk2 Ph1 RN which doesn't come with the dashtop clock thingy, I was wondering if I changed the dashtop and got one that encorporates the clock, are the connectors there on my car to plug it straight in?
Might be a bit of a...
Yeah I did consider that but how difficult is installing a split charge system? Ideally I'd like not to bother but if it's the only decent way of doing it then yeah I guess I'll give it a go.
Mate it's a piece of piss, I knocked up the wires in 10 minutes tops and the plug in and out so you don't need to chop them up.

Just clocked I don't know if you can see that as you're not a member, I'll print it...
