Clock/connectors/dashtop queries

I've had a breif search but couldn't find much helpful.

I've got a Mk2 Ph1 RN which doesn't come with the dashtop clock thingy, I was wondering if I changed the dashtop and got one that encorporates the clock, are the connectors there on my car to plug it straight in?

Might be a bit of a stupid question but I guess you never know until you ask.
