My battery's knackered after going flat various times when I've been installing ice, I thought I might as well replace it with a 'big' battery like an Optima or something, the one problem being I don't want to pay more than £100 for it.
Can I use a cheaper 'leisure' battery as my normal...
Thanks for the replies guys.
Take it you both mean the same thing? Is there any way to get to it without taking the dashtop off ie at the fusebox? And one last question, am I alright to just scotchlock a wire onto it (being the hardcore auto electrician that I am)?
I've done various searches and gone through pages and pages of questions about this but I still can't find anything conclusive.
My car doesn't have a speed pulse wire on the ISO block, so where am I likely to find it?
I've got a 98 Mk2 Ph1 RN which has a rev counter (I hear some don't)...
Mate of mine bought a Metro for 50 quid that had a Cherry Bomb exhaust that used to do that, was THE scariest ride of my life when I went out in it, the f**king brakes barely worked.
Most people use the bonnet release cable grommet on Mk2 Clio's, you can either poke a hole through it or go round the outside of it.
It's in the passenger footwell. Not sure on the Mk3 though.
My Kenwood dvd player with a built in screen thingy which was working fine is now playing up.
Yesterday, the touch screen went black and has not displayed anything since, and is not making the beep noise when I touch it, the functions seem to work fine, I can hear all the sounds from the radio...
Really can't recommend that guide enough, I'm unbelievably impatient when it comes to spraying and even I've had half decent results cos of just having something to follow.
I'm just shocked this car has been ripped by the Turini brigade. Workmanship looks good, front end is nice.. back end not so my taste. Nicely done though.
Mine's only a bit lower than that and I've got a boot full of subbage, mine's on Spax -60mm at the back.
Camber at the front looks fucked dude!
Edit: what exhaust is that? How much & where from? :D
Pretty sure my car makes the same noise you're describing, never bothered me. Being as there's a few moving parts in an engine I'd imagine it's just them slowing down and stopping?
