Yup Yup, fantastic tyres guys, I really really rate them, infact I hated my contis so much I sold them after 600 miles lol and went straight onto eagle f1s, I got about 10k on the first front set, and 11k on the second set, but I think I might only see about 5-6k on this third set - theyve...
No mate its fine, the trick to it is to unplug the second lambda sensor completely and simply tape up the connector, this gives the ecu an untimately clean mix signal and hay presto! it all just works :-)
Nope fred, you aint being a pleb, youre right, too many do drop too little and then regret it.
And on the subject of moddin, anyone gonna do anything a bit more serious than exhaust/filter/decat?????? ;)
This is actually roamer :)
Ok, so your mk1 172 is one of the ones with 2 lambda sensors..... ok
and you have bought the sports cat, NOT the 172 de-cat pipe yes?
well if that is correct then 1st thing monday ring David, because it should go on without a problem and as far as I know there...
This was complete sh*t, not worth £5 at all... All it was was a big hall full of not very well modded cars! (there were a few exceptions) it was very very cold, and wet.. we didnt stay long. (Bubbles)

YOU DONT NEED CAMBER BOLTS!!!!!!!
Mines lowered 100mm at the front with std bolts, if you get coilovers just get them set up properly on a laser alingment
40mm on a cup is fine, no camber bolts etc needed IMO
The mk1 only has 1 sensor IIRC something isnt right there!! The mk2 has 2 sensors, this will sound daft, but have you blocked up the other hole???
The mk1 has the sensor before the CAT, but the mk2 has an additional sensor after the CAT i think, cant remember exactly

Hmmm well I dont get any yet with mine, and mine overfuels (as anyone behind will tell ya, the smell is lovely YUM :) )
But Im gonna have a play with the over-run mapping and see if I cant shovel a load of fuel out at say 4500rpm and see it that lights up ;)
Well from my point of view, youll be very happy with either, with a good example of a valver youll still have to keep money aside for any problems which will arise, but then now 172s are aging they too will need bits and pieces soon too.
Ive got an 18 month old 172 and a williams and, well...
Its as accurately calculated as it can be, and the results can be repeated in different temps and pressures with a tiny variance. (as I proved last year)
Ok, well, BenR, myself, chris172, ktec et. all have fittedthe pipework down the back of the passenger side headlight, you have to remove the old pipework and one piece of plastic gauard to get it down there oh and a bit with a vacuum activated butterfly valve in it.
When you try and route it...
Hmmm something like http://www.machine7.co.uk/Cart/Wheel_Adaptors.htmthese I guess, but as they are quite thick themselves you will have to get the offset to = the original offset + the thickness of the spacers - could be a difficulty.
Erm, changing the hubs would be the only way I guess, but I dunno how easy it would be, seems like alot to do just to get hold of some 17s, what do they look like? are they like any "standard" aftermarket wheel which you could get in 4x100pcd?
Ok guys......
At The Wheels losses.....
The losses can be affected by a number of things, including the gearbox oil temperature - if youre car has had a good hard run to the RR and goes on soon after you arrive losses are less, but if youve sat around for ages and its all cooled down it...
ok dean, were you up to the stops on the old shockers? if so how many clicks on the old torsion bar did you give it? cos its probably that you have given it a few too many and you were riding on the limit of them constantly, and now with shorter shocks the limit is less so gone further in...
K-tec do a racing cat and a de-cat.
But their de-cat is for a mk1, so unless you have an exhaust with a telescopic section youll find it comes up about 2 inchs too short.
Ok guys, now Ive got em I need to fit em, but I just wanted to see if anyone out there has changed the seats in a mk2 clio, if you have what is involved? got any hints or tips?
