Wash marring is your problem there mate and IPA is to get rid of oils after polishing. You need a final finish polish going over it. Washing with a decent shampoo should remove the oils if its product residue.

My girlfriend had the same problem last yr but just with sap which is a nightmare. A couple of layers of aquartz was put on the roof as its the strongest coating that you can buy apart from Gtecniqs C1. Its more or less impenetrable so cleaning it off was easy enough. Lew

I guess it is Richy, Id buy iron x all day long if its pricetag was a little more suitable. Id use upto 250ml on every car that i do. Based on say average of 6 cars per week, thats a few quid!!

Thats because most decent stuff is PH neutral but with a high ph value. From my experience of using iron x, it is really good stuff but soon disappears in the bottled form. I am now using the brake duster and is just as effective with a lower price tag ;)

If your just after getting some luster from the paint then i wouldnt recommend that you compound the car. A single stage polish would give the results your after. A combination of a polish and a refining product would do the trick on most polishing pads and still remove most swirling. Polishing...
