i looked under the front suspension...they have used quite a few ties, to tie up cables... does anyone know about the steering rack...from looking inside the car, the column thing looks like the original..? should i really question the cable ties then??

Hello...post kerb accident...this is my invoice.. i have the car back but its not driving right so will be retrurned after new year... had a look and the subframe/all parts under the front look new with labels etc... but i cant see if the steering rack etc has been replaced, can i check...

it is loose...i can turn it a fair bit....dont want to tighten it or anything, as im assuming both sides have to be the same.. the bit that has the thread stickn out..

hey just had my drivers side top strut replaced... it turns at the thread by hand? is this meant to do it? the other older one does not turn at all..

btw that "horrible lookin" was a joke... it is a lovely looking car... 55 plate i think...

UPDATE... apparently i dont need a new front spring anymore....the boys down at the crime lab, i meant renault technician said it is still servicable.. so 127 quid back in my pocket... but 50 odd quid back out due to my abs sensor being stuck to my hub..

ive given the go ahead for repairs.. i will post the final bill up...took a lot of stuff off, ie seat etc.. so will be about 2grand..prob... everything thats being done is mechanical...no interior stuff... that can get done when i come across the green stuff again
