Cost around £200 (plus fitting, unless you can do yourself, which some people do), makes gear change quicker and smoother. Haven't been on a track with mine or timed it but I would imagine it would shave something off 0-60

IMO doesn't need mods. If I could do two things to mine I would fit a decent exhaust (as they don't come with one - you know what I mean) and would lower it.

major problems?? Yeah, they're too much fun and you want to drive for the sake of driving :)

I love my cup 172 and would recommend to anyone who loves driving fast and having fun but does it bother you not having aircon? If not get one mate!

get a B&M short shifter, never had any probs and sounds to me like it will suit your style of driving ;)

I do about 33, 31 rear but as long as you're around about it'll be fine

^Of course it speeds you up, if you can change gear quicker then you will get to 60 or 100 or whatever speed you want to get to quicker.

seems reasonable to me, cambelt will need changing as it 72k miles or 5 years and 5 years is here..... Offer around £5k (after looking at it, trust you have?) and that would be reasonable to me, especialy with chip for extra bhp :)

7k rpm is cool, wouldn't do it constantly mind... You will absolutely love the car, Ive had mine for 4 months and still smile as I fly past some st170 or cooper s :) Not a bad price, very low mileage for age as well. Mines an 03 and mines done 38k
