I should add I can feel the fault in so much as when starting from stationary it has very little umph and when moving it "thuds"

My wifes 2000 Automatic Scenic (Monaco) has had the little light come up which in the manual tells us to report it to Renualt (gear box fault). Anyone out there know what it could be in terms of the fault and cost to sort? Would you go independant or Renualt?

How often do people polish theirs? I was doing it at least once a month until I read that you shouldn't polish more than twice a year due to taking off paintwork...

Somewhere I can get an exhaust fitted (probably just back box) new brake pads and discs & also perhaps at the same place a service (service not needed for a while). I live in Watford but am willing to go to the right place, within reason. Thanks
