Second set of discs arrived Friday and also picked up the better spec pins for the Brembo 4 pots from the local sorting office. Early start this morning, loaded up the car with all the parts and dropped it off with Alex for him to work his magic on it.
Had a panic last night as I'd ordered the discs from Amazon last Saturday and they still hadn't turned up, all it said in the tracking notes was that they were in transit with no location. I've had the Meg booked in for 5 weeks now to have everything fitted this Saturday, front and rear discs...
Is this instead of the domed bolts I'm using already that were purchased from a motorsport company that supply bucket seats, brackets etc?
I should be able to purchase high tensile bolts and washers from any half decent fasteners company.
The postman has been again today, I've also ordered DS1.11 brake pads and a litre of Motul brake fluid which should arrive tomorrow. Still waiting on the Brembo HC discs.
As I like things to match everything is all decent quality Sabelt items. That's the seat, steering wheel and 4 point harness.
So this week there's going to be a flurry of deliveries in preparation for Saturdays work. Pins for the Brembo calipers are ordered from the TR stockpile, a big thumbs up to Andy on Turborenault Came home from work to this little lot from Renault parts direct, again a big thank you to them...
Ok so it's been a week or so since i've had the chance to do anything with the Megane. The OMP brackets FINALLY arrived this week, nice of the company to say when I ordered them from that they were coming from Poland via Germany and not their workplace in Nottingham.... Anyway, they're here...
Cheers Mark, I think the carbon gloss look makes it along with the black buttons. Function with an ok look.
I've also had people request red and blue buttons so you can have the 4 buttons in black and the top 2 either red or blue. I've made orders on all 3 colour buttons.
They're going to be fitted in a couple of weeks, I've good feedback from a couple of people who have them fitted and it's all positive. For what they cost they should be adequate for the odd trackday, they're not AST level but good enough I believe
Hope you don't mind me asking but would these studs work on Megane? Just assuming that Renault use the same thread pitch on all their models. Sorry to spam the thread. The Clio looks awesome and like the moody garage pic, I'm hoping to be at Brands the end of May.
Does your PM work
I'm looking into running a list for people who'd like one made and are happy to pay upfront for it. I know there are people that don't know me and may have trust issues which I appreciate so we'll see how it pans out. But I'm happy to make them, it's the initial outlay for parts.
I'm just working out a few things, hopefully by the end of today I'll have a plan in place. It's gone from making my own to more than 20 enquiries for this setup this morning. They're hand made and can only be done in my own time after work. I don't wanna promise the earth to people only for...
Ordered the parts last week and just got round to making the panel to create a cruise control bracket for my Sabelt aftermarket steering wheel to go in my Megane 225.
Been following this thread as I've just bought a Megane 225 and going to track it as well. I really like how you've done everything so far. I dont suppose you have any close up pics of where the harnesses clip into in the back of the car and where you've mounted the harness in between the seats...
