Glad I found this, so what you've summed up Fred is mk2 1*2 hubs not the cup variety won't work with 182 cup packed driveshafts being too long, me wanting to change to kw v2s will have to purchase new shafts too!
I used numberplate tape on mine, Not the cheap s**t. 3m stuff, good degrease 2 layers to get them to sit right, stuck them on.
Them f**kers are going nowhere! i've tried
IIRC the hubs are also slightly wider too where the shock would mount, Therefore you would have to effectively open them up slightly too,
Change of hubs £~100 or the correct coilies £900! Would probs say at £200 they will be needing a refurb too.
Dont suppose you'd happen to know what it'd cost me for a set of 4 16" superleggeras, blasting and priming off the top of your head? so i could lash them up myself in the cup colour mine have picked a few chips up and are coming off for winter
Its been picked up and gone already :-o
Wasnt even boxed up, mam shoved it in a ps2 box witha load of bags for protection but didnt tape it up, guess il never see that again!
12 Posts for someone to give the correct advice, Bandwagon anyone!!
As the man says, I'd probrably go with the radiator wanting to be replaced, If it was a hose it'd so it constantly.
For future reference if anyone finds the thread, its the distance from the hub face to the back of the rim (140mm in this case) the width of the wheel halved (105) subtracted 140 - 105 = 35
Somehow i've just managed to get it to go through MS request a repair, The other day when i tried it it never worked so was going to have a go at it myself.
Shall watch this space and see what happens, Just Formatted my pc so have to put all my e-mail back on now so i can see whan its been...
I got the dreaded rings the other week, Its coming up with an E74 error and 1 red ring so MS arent able to fix it for free :( bit s**t considering its only a year and half old and doesnt get used much, anyways.

Aye lol, might be worth checking if the pistons dust seals seen better days and allowed some dirt to get onto the piston then you could try a bit of red rubber grease and see if it gets any better, it may do a bit but i think you'l be requiring a caliper in the future, id rebuild it if i could...
Pretty much what i did TBH, i fired it up let it idle and gave the engine a bit of a 'rock' then bolted it all up tight
got both vibratechnics mounts on mine and the powerflex dogbone too, I cant say i notice any extra vibration now after 500 miles it almost seemed to be back as oe mounts...
Personally i think the PSs have dropped off the scale with the driving simulators the GT series have been mint i cant deny but other than a bit of graphical tweakery its no real difference to GT4 and its been farrrr to long since the last one, GT5 should have been out not long after the PS3 was...
From the head gasket?? new one to me! I know the cam covers leak but that can be solved with a bit of silicone sealent easily enough,
headbolts do stretch but can be reused depending how far they have gone just leave them in a tub of oil
I'd be up for a buttertubbs run :-) its great up there, i challenge anyone to keep up on the road to hawes lol. id have come along if it wasnt for me having to take a large diversion because of a landslide just outside of harrogate, i kept quiet but have been watching the thread.
Strip them and clean the sliders up first, check the handbrakes not causing it to bind, if that doesnt solve it its a new caliper. The first option generally solves it though
I noticed mine used to burn oil when i used halfords fully synth5/40, talking 1l per 3k. I've now been running it on mobil 1 and its barely used a drop in the last 6k since feb!
The videos pretty useless TBH lol, if youve got play at 9-3 its either going to be the inner or outer rod ends, if you cant feel anything on the inner one its the outer thats shot and i'd do the pair as its going to need the tracking done anyway, Generally if ones gone the other not far behind...
