As I understand it the lamp washers only operate after a prolonged pull of the washer stalk when the lights are on. As I usually time my washer squirts to coincide with the windscreen wipers, max one second at a time, I guess the lamp washers are never activated.
Seems the designers haven't...
Is this 'diagnostic fee' a new sort of con?
I've had a company car for 20+ years or so, and only just back into private ownership (hence the 172), but I remember the days when if you had a problem, you took it to a garage, told them what wasn't working and got a price to fix it.

Racing on a public road is too bl**dy dangerous, and if you get caught you're at least gonna get points and a fine, if not a disqualification. I take pride driving well, not slow, but within the limit for the prevailing conditions (My exhaust is too loud to floor it at every set of traffic...

If so then no, Cups don't have them (most would say that's a good thing...) ;)
Dunno if there is any time limit on displaying P plates. I guess some peeps might use them for a week or two, others for months?

IIRC I thought the headlamp wipers only worked when using the windscreen washers for 2 seconds or more... under that you only get water to the secreen?
Perhaps I have more faith in human nature than is warranted?
Surely everyone does a little research about what a car is worth before buying the thing?

Took my 172 into a Renault dealer a couple of weeks ago for replacement fan. They fixed the bonnet catch free of charge when it was there.
They can access their database and check if it has been done or not.
I think once the leather seat sides show creases there's little to be done except feed them to prevent further deteriation.
