conservative or not, the comparison between the Mk1 and the Cup are completely wrong - there is no doubt on this earth that the Cup is quicker (asuming the driver can drive of course) the evidence of this can be seen every day between the Sunflower and the Cup !!
yeah, completely depends on what you want, they are not really to be compared are they! one is an old car now, one is a relatively new car, they look completely different - totaly depends on what you want

I think you will find that the Mk1 does do it - at least mine does! Its a nastly little beast when it is stone cold, but as soon as the temp needles moves to the first bar it is up and running !!!!
well I have had mine for nearly 3 years now, so done 2 winters - absolute rubbish that it is dangerous in the winter!! lack of grip??? dunno how you drive, but .... :D its the weather and the conditions and the drivers that are dangerous in the winter - there is nothing wrong with my 172 in...
