may be wrong but i think a lad round here had his topping out at either 10500 0r 11,000 rpm had to use some harder springs to stop valve bounce etc engine had a pretty good spec
the 80 amnd the 100 share the same turbo
the 65bhp runs 1400psi in the fuel system
the 80+100 both run 1600psi and use the same injectors.
the 65 has no IC were as the 80 does and the 100 has a biger IC than the 80

he has the exact same problem .... have you though of selling them apparently they fetch quite a bit and them put some fake bbs on ? will cost you about the same in total

from my experience you cant refurb the faces back to standard .. well within reasonable prices. from what i remember the face is machined then laquered. if it was just a small spot you could get away with it .. in all honesty mate your better of...
theyre to small would restrict the engine . theryre ok on upto about 1600cc . but any more and its a waste of time .
think its jms are doing a new inlet mani that may be worth a shot
the pipe work will be a bit of a b**ch , may aswell use custom stuff to give it better flow. you can buy it cheap from ebay. just need some old thick rad hoses to make a mock set up so you know exactly what you need to be buying.

in the long run it would be more expensive so a sport engine makes more sense as i can get it in and built sooner. then start collecting the bits needing to charge it .
if i was to put a 172 in it wouldnt be NA for long anyways well hope fully , which would make use of the longer ratio box of the derv . will see what happens anyways already got a standard ecu for the 172 . just need a full loom and then start buyin engine parts etc

seriously dude look on ebay the reno dci engines are fetching a premium on there . my engine is worth about 6-700 as a block .
i dont mean the full meggane i just mean the engine but i wouldnt be using the turbo , injectors , mani and most of the things like that so wouldnt be worth doing...
