as some of you may know i have just bought a engine for my conversion, its done 66k and the cambelt has been done... but at what point i dont know.
the belt still has the writing on it which i know can fade away quite easily and it looks pretty new so must of only covered a few thousand .

made a start on the inlets.... this is gonna be a loooong drawn out process :(
splashed a bit of paint on the engine bay... lookin alot better now its a matching colour
loom should be in for 2moz aslong as the weather isnt to bad
to rite... they dont really care if they put an extra few drips of a colour into your paint but it makes all the difference when its panel to panel.... and i have always found there stuff very hard to work with,.. go to a specialist

after disconnecting most of the wiring got one wire left to chase under the car and unplug then that can totally come out

going to give it a good clean up today whip the inlets and a few other bits of . then set at them with...
my engine should be here later on today and im struggling to think of a good colour or colours to do it in i was thinking red block , head chem cleaned or painted in that silver fred uses for inlets etc then do the rocker cover red , i think that should go well against the colour of my car...
well i have bought an engine that will be with me 2moz im going to test fit it to see what it runs like and to see if there is any niggles etc then it will be removed and stripped down cleaned up and painted few new bits here and there then rebuilt wit arp's were needed etc .

my dads also an assesor and had to tell a bloke that had a s2000 with 27k worth of mods that his insurance was void and wasnt going to be paid out... none of his mods were declared lol

youu stripping a 172 arent you ? have you got the little calculater box thats inside the dash on the drivers side ? its removable once the dash top is of and if so howmuch ?
just got a full wiring loom from a 172 to use in my conversion and it came with a scorpion alarm wired in
will i need a key fob for this or will it be activated from my key ? and how hard is it to removed if i have to
i now have the full loom got most of the inside fitted just need to get a part ( goes near the drivers door called a calculater or something.. anyone know what this is for ? ) .
got all coolant hoses etc and mid section of the exhaust, just hope my back box fits upto it now lol and need...
as mentioned teh decent thing for him to do would be give a bit of coin to help you repair this.
is the door from clio spares RB already btui needsa touch p or diff clour
gently rubs a mixture of caustic soda and warm water over the car... only kiddding erm what avout celly thinners ? tha tardis or some over solvent based cleaner
may sound a bit daft but might be worth going to the local polish car wash and asking them howmuch to remove it if you supply...
just a quick update finally got a full loom sorted out and some clocks so the interior can be built up properly now. just need to start get an engine sorted and some mounts..
