so you have tightened the 3 10mm bolts that hold the seats to the subframe, im assuming the 13mm bolts that attach the seats to the car are tight, if everything is tight then the runners a warn which is pretty common
why pay £25 from ebay when you can get 5 litres of total 5/40 fully synth from GSF for £18+vat or 5 litres of Elf excillium 5/40 fully synth for £24 inc vat?
With the inlet manifold gains are to be had but it depends on how good or bad your casting is, if ben is doing it then its going to be perfect and your going to get a slight increase.

there are models out there to replace the standard one, trouble is renault use there own airbag system "Renaults System for Restraint and Protection (SRP)" therefore the after market ones are not compatable
you would need a very long cold air feed as it would have to go around the rad and aircon rad if you have one, not much space, would have to be a thin one.

for the knock sensor, it looks like its come off, is it attached to the part of the loom that feeds the oil pressure sensor, oil level sensor or somewhere else?

the VAG box will fit in the bay but you'll then need to chage the driveshafts or use custom jobs, build a mounting kit, change the clutch and depending if the chosen box is hydralic that too, paul jordan(01254 201681) is the guy...

More serious note its not expensive to have it made stronger competition gearboxes shot peened by casing then a local firm rebuilt it with uprated gears and brand new synchros cost me a grand all in
