No, because at that side the nut is welded onto the rack, so you just bolt the bolt through the back of the subframe into that and it holds it in place, the passenger side is just bolt through and nut. Sorry i havnt been in touch regarding rack, il PM you now..

You can if you want, but if you dont have the ignition on then theres no need. just unscrew the bolt clean the area and bolt back on, remember to check both ends,

White spirit and a sponge, leave the spirit for about 10min on it and then just wipe off, i use a old sponge as it holds the liquid in for longer.
