Mine did this, this morning. I usually find I have used about 9.5gallons of fuel and then it comes on. Its a 50litre tank (10.9999 gallons) so you still have about 5-6 litres left. Plus when you fill up, I bet it cuts out after about 43-44 litres:approve:
I would tuck the air feed under a bit or try and relocate the feed behind the grille (probably a bumper off job tho) My cold air feed got mashed when I went down a muddy lane with high central verge. Love the sound of my K&N tho!:approve:
Had a little search and seen that people on here like the EBC pads. Im after replacement pads that would offer just a little more bite than standard, with maybe the odd track day usage. Your thoughts please?:approve:
This mornings start seemed much better. I just feather the accellerator, and when it starts to hold back, I change gear at low revs and slowly bring the clutch up, otherwise you get the kangeroo jump forward! Know what I mean?
I think the reason for the car running a bit rougher recently is...
I have just changed and put optimax in after using the Tesco 99 fuel, maybe its the slight change in Super Unleaded petrol that its adjusting to. I also have an induction kit fitted which probably encourages it to drink even more petrol! Just leaving work now, so will see what shes like in half...
As above, I know the 182 is a rough starter for the first minute or so, but mine seems to have got worse. I can hear the unburnt fuel popping out of the exhausts, and when I lightly accelerate, it holds back. Just wondered if everyone elses 172/182's sound act like this?
Also I have checked...
Plus although the air box is sealed, it must still get heated up under the bonnet, thus heating the flowing air briefly. I agree with barley182, how does the torque become lost?:S Anyone know the temperature differences between induction kit air sucked in, compared with a standard panel filter...
Im definatley going to order a heatshield from e-bay for my K&N 57i. Should stop as much hot air getting in. I may even be a real geek and buy a chefs thermometer and install it next to the induction kit to see what sort of temparatures are under there when is moving and when its sat still. Got...
Interesting reading. I have a K&N 57i kit fitted and was considering changing it because of the heat soak. I may go down the route of the heat shielding instead for the sake of a tenner
Looking great Daz, I remember only a few months ago when you got your wheels fitted from 182WRC. Your is transformed now with the new lights and colour coding!:o
