172 bumper won't go on without the wings/skirts combo you know yeah?
Personally I'd just colour code the lot, set of OZ F1's and put it as low as possible and pootle about. Tidy and simple!
Lol at the splitter comment, every picture I looked at I was like >_< at it. Car looks lovely other than that lol!
Epic trip, some mental views there :)
Winning bid, £51!
Rule number one of getting cheap parts off ebay, don't post the links on CS lol! Set of OZ F1's went for £79 quid the other night which I'm gutted I missed!
I pulled up at a set of traffic lights next to a petrol station the other night and looked left to see a car with similiar graphics, RENAULTSPORT 2.0 down the side. I shook my head and facepalmed while the blonde tramp that was stood next to it talking to the driver stared profusely at me...
Pwease? I want to go down and see it lol.
With people like Fred/Birchdown doing cheap work these days and parts as common as muck I can't really see anything being drastically bad going wrong. Gearbox clutch turbo etc are probably in the firing line as with other stuff. :)
You can buy replacement fog light inserts for around £20. As said, not seeing the side clips and rear you don't know if it's cracked behind etc. Just looks like a sand down and filler to me.
I wouldn't go near a Cat C 1.2 purely just because the amount of straight decent ones that are available is high. You'll always have trouble selling it on as if it's tainted IMO so steer clear.
Which DCi was it you were going for? 65 is roughly the equivalent to a 1.2. The DCi holds cheaper...
I bottomed out mine atleast 6 times on tuesday night :(
Think I felt a speed bump hit the rim on one occasion aswell, checked for bulges etc and doesn't seem to be any damage.
That's not really saying much for Renault though. Afterall they seem to get blue parts on white cars, and put dirt into paint. Not exactly striking excellence from what I've seen!
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Wondered what the collection of oil on the pass seat was for! It's not noticable at all with the bonnet on for sure. :)
Best way to show how dirty the buckets are is to just let them sit, and the bubbles to die off. You'll end up with the water bucket looking rather black and the soap one looking pretty fresh :)
Tidy car anyways! The stance/lowness etc isn't right for me but it'll look alot better with...
Car will looks miles better with xenons instead of those wierd angel eye things. A decent splitter wouldn't do any harm aswell!
I'm out in Trafford tonight if your down there?
Changing the bulb is piss easy, just pop the rubber seal off the back of the unit, then turn the starter pack to get to the bulb.
How the bulb comes out is dependant on which model headlights they are though. It'll either be two metal clips or a black plastic ring retaining the bulb. Undo...
It made me think,
I'll only ever be able to imagine the feeling of building an LMP. To have the feeling of all those exact measurements and tolerances. Being so nervous right up to the start of the race. Watching it closely hour after hour running through the entire build in your mind as it...
