Certainly in the case of the Escort Cosworth. The Sierra drives so much better imo, the chassis didn’t work as well in the shortened Escort body.
That said, almost Impreza would run rings around most Cosworths on anything but the straight bits.
You’re right, though that the Cossie was a...
They drive like any other standard Impreza which is as you say, a bit guff. Not that quick, torrential understeer, bags of grip like they all have but otherwise pretty willy handling, and nowhere near as special as it’s looks suggest.
It’s in the same bracket as an escort cossie to me.
Mega to...
22B, probably the most overated Impreza of all time. Rather have a Spec C of any flavour over a 22B.
In answer to the previous questions the 22B used flared arches that emulated that of the WRC car, however they're vastly different both in width and arch line. The WRC arches offer far greater...
Inboard NS drive shaft. It was the original CV boot that Alex removed when he did the clutch last month.
I don't think it liked being removed and re-seated as it was the original item that had done 117kmiles, no fault of his.
Alex has now fitted a brand new one to both ends. :)
Been quiet on the update front with the Clio as im currently up to my neck in kitchen renovation and the car hasn't had a look in. I've just got an ever growing list of parts that i need to fit.
She has seen some attention in the last 2 days however.
Firstly a big thanks to Alex @AW Motorworks...
Cheers chap,
I've got Ash lined up to make me one, i'm just trying to get as much info on it as possible. As i say its a road car that i drive daily, i really don't fancy the noise and agro of the decat. Likewise i want a PMS shifter, but due to the aforementioned reasons, i'm hoping the BMS...
Superb update as usual. I know exactly what you mean that its no show pony, but its an extremely well loved and well kept example and its more the ethic of your ownership that's so refreshing to see. The little clips, odds and ends are the bits that really make the difference. The devil is in...
Yes it is a modified scenic shifter. However unsure if in its modified state if it hangs lower than an oem scenic shifter?
Is there no way to run a heatshield in there?
Question for anyone running a BMS shifter NOT PMS.
Is anyone running one of the BMS shifters with the OEM cat in place? I'm told they drop down quite a bit under the car and are very close/foul the OEM cat.
Can anyone please confirm for me. Yes I've asked Ash who makes the BMS and i believe he...
Finally got 5 min to give the old girl a clean, as it hadn’t been washed in 3 weeks and usually it’s every week without fail.
Doesn’t come up bad for 14 years old and 116k miles.
Inferno is such an odd colour. No filters on these and it looks different in every light.
There was a time when I would have the latest iPhone on the day of release blah blah.
Yet I’m still on an old 6S and I literally couldn’t give less ducks about the latest iPhone anymore. They have become so overpriced it’s outrageous and do nothing more than the last one did.
In the real world...
