Massive thanks to Mike Rainbird at RB Motorsport for helping me secure a great deal on todays Recaro delivery. I’ve known Mike for a lot of years now and his service and attention to detail is absolutely superb.
Unfortunately I’ve now got the agonising wait till i get time and a break in the...
Ah well I’ll have to look when they arrive.
Getting them fitted should be pretty straight forward. It’s the faff with the airbags I’m not looking forward to.
What do most do? Resistors or can they be cancelled via the ECU?
Following on from this thread that i started.
I've added a ITG Maxogen intake, hopefully have a new gearbox with Quaife ATB diff coming my way and ordered some Recaro Pole Positions.
Slowly progressing my ultimate daily road car with the best upgrades i can.
Yeah i want a total road going fixed back bucket. None of the recliners tick my boxes to be fair so it was down to these two.
100% it will be the Poles, just want to see how others have installed them, as ive heard the actual Recaro fitting kit for the mk2 Clio sits them at OEM height which...
It has really mate, and yes i know Motordrives stuff.
I like the Poles and they're a road based seat so really tick pretty much all my boxes. Just a case of getting them in and properly setup.
I don't want a competition seat with high sides and a velour cover.
I’ve been offered the Recaro fitting kit.
What have you done now and how have you fitted the OEM pretensioners?
Any help and photos would be greatly appreciated.
I’m about to pull the trigger on some PPs but want to make sure I have everything I need to make a proper job of it.
I’ve done my share of Ring trips having started there in 2005, and I don’t care who you are, sub 8 min is fricken hustling!!!
Sorry to hear of the teething issues mate but like you say, to be expected on a freshly put together car. Glad the trip was a safe one and you’ve come away having learnt...
Okay so looking at pulling the trigger on a pair of these, im told that the Recaro bases adapt to the OEM seat rails.
Is this correct if you get the Recaro fitting kit?
Went through 3 Karchers in 2 years so opted for a Nilfisk C120.
First one of those died within 6 weeks and was replaced without issue by Amazon.
Let’s see how long this one lasts. 😅🤷🏽♂️
Bummer. Really don’t like the CS to be honest. Massively overrated seat along with Trendlines.
The only tilt bucket seat that’s ever been any good in my experience are the Porsche carbon ones and they’re about £8k a pair.
This thread shows a really good comparison. Up until now, I was dead set on the Poles 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

Yep. They’re the ABEs which are supposedly cut to accept the 3 point receiver properly.
This is my concern.
My Cayman has the OEM carbon bucket in and they’re cut totally different again.
My initial thoughts were straight to the PPs. However the. Nogaros have lower sides and designed specifically to allow the belt receiver to sit slightly above the side rail exactly as BMW did with the CSL seats.
I know the ABEs are cut wider to allow the belt receiver to sit inside, however...
Wanting some fixed buckets specifically for my road car to be used with a 3 point belt.
Anybody have experience of either the above seats or even better both seats?
Not much happened on the little Clio lately as I’m still on the hunt for a proper gearbox with diff (think I’ve found one) and hunting for some Recaro Pole Position / Cobra Nogaros.
I did however acquire an ITG Maxogen induction kit for it. The filter element had seen better days so decided to...
To be fair, there is a luggage bar in the Cayman that most guys use for camera mounts. So that's why its there . Agreed it doesn't work that great.
What an absolute weapons grade piece Mr Clio is. Probably thought he was being a right hero holding off a GT4.
