What colour?

The oil on rocker by the plugs was the leak mine had. The cause was a gel washer that had perished. This leak was only around one plug. What's the specs of the car you are seeing again?

Maybe with a turbo car you could gain 10bhp. Seems pointless to change the exhaust without doing the air filter as well.

I had a full setup, springs and shocks (don't think it was coilovers) but in them days (did this in 1996ish) I didn't see cars as low as today. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the idea of bedding in the brakes is to stop the pads glazing. I usually do about 100 careful miles then start to work the brakes harder. Never had a problem doing this.

What was wrong with the 197?

How low are they? I used to own a Rover 220GTi that I lowered by 50mm. Great fun but felt like I was dragging my arse around on the ground. Bottomed out on more than 1 speed bump.

My 197 steering wheel looks different to yours. It doesn't have the 'Renault Sport' plate at the bottom. Did you add that yourself?

But if you take the stuck on estate bit off and screw your eyes up real tight.........It looks like an X6:S
