A very tough choice. Have had a ride in an MR2 turbo and they ARE fast. Also exciting cars too but not for the right reasons :eek:.
Either way you will still have something fun. Depends on whether you want a change because you are bored of your 172.
The lesson here is not to drive within 500 metres of a school in the morning or afternoon. My wife's car has dings on all sides......some of which are her fault.
The oil on rocker by the plugs was the leak mine had. The cause was a gel washer that had perished. This leak was only around one plug. What's the specs of the car you are seeing again?
£679 pays for a lot of repairs. My 197 is just over 3 years old and I decided against extending the warranty as I have a great mechanic who is very reasonable.

I had a full setup, springs and shocks (don't think it was coilovers) but in them days (did this in 1996ish) I didn't see cars as low as today. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the idea of bedding in the brakes is to stop the pads glazing. I usually do about 100 careful miles then start to work the brakes harder. Never had a problem doing this.
How low are they? I used to own a Rover 220GTi that I lowered by 50mm. Great fun but felt like I was dragging my arse around on the ground. Bottomed out on more than 1 speed bump.
Well said. Glad you're enjoying it. A lot of people overlook the fun factor, but obviously not the CS lot as we are driving rattling sheds that put big smiles on our faces.

Took me a minute to realise the black Ph3 clio wasn't a 197 :eek:. Very tidy car, and the lowest I've seen. Do you get any problems driving...
