At the Palmersport event yesterday I had a nasty experience with what I can only assume is the clutch. Coming off a long straight braking hard down into third, into the bend - coming out of the bend I try and put the power down I hit the redline with no power to the wheels. I then change up...
My tyres definitely felt strange on the way home. Very vague on the straight ahead - the brakes also were a bit dead this morning for the first 10 miles - seem OK now though.

Wow - what a top afternoon! My face aches from grinning so much.

Im with you on that one Mike it sounds like a good idea. Id be up for any trackday so long as its organised well in advance on a free weekend/bookable day off work.

Saw the cup @ Goodwood. These are interior bits that I noticed:
The dash is similar to the 172 apart from the Silver inserts have been replaced with electric blue ones.
An obviouse one - the climate control and A/C are missing.
The seats look the same but the leather/alcantara stuff...

Damm it Mike youve caught me out! Although I have been trying it for a while - thought I get some practice in for next week.
Joe thats the way Ive been trying before reading the above article - very tricky - think I need more practice.

Sounds like it would be a good crack to me. Would prefer to do it on private roads though - i.e. an airfield.
Dont have to worry about the rozzers then
