197 springs have blue/green dots 197 cup springs are marked with blue/orange dots 200 springs marked with blue/yellow dots 200 cup springs marked with blue/violet markings thats the only real way to tell as lots of cars have the calipers painted aftermarket

It's not unheard of 197's needing a clutch, seem to remember a few back in the early days needed replacements

Clio 4 is a tweaked Clio 3 underneath. One thing i do wonder though, does is still run the double axis 'perfo up' setup from the 197/200/Megane?? Also, i presume the Juke runs this engine with a standard manual.........??

Cheers chaps I know the 197 doesnt get a whole lot of love on here (yet ;)) Just had its 5 year love from Birchdown, so thats full cambelt kit, water pump, gearbox oil refresh, handbrake cables........... then if that wanst enough, its been treated to X2 new conti 3's Been an expensive month!

I slackened the striker plate off and adjusted it towards the front of the car a few mm so it pulled the boot in more. Worked a treat

Dont be so sure. All Mk3 RS's can suffer with bad gearboxes, just look on the Renaultsport forum. Infact, the 200 seems more problematic from what i've seen.
