braided lines also 'firm up' pedal feel so this may have something to do with it as well

maybe a dull question but have you tried looking in the manual - should tell you how to change it. its dark now so i'd leave it till morning as it's much easier when you can actually 'see' what you're doing!!

don't bother fitting disc brakes on the back - it's not worth the time / money / hassle! even on the RS models about 80% of the braking is done by the front ones so you're not going to notice a difference.

i'd lose the induction kit for a start and get an ITG Panel filter instead as it will be better for performance. You could also upgrade the brakes to some Brembo High Carbon or Max Groove discs with some decent pads - i doubt you'll be doing trackdays in it so EBC Greenstuff or Redstuff pads...
