aren't the tyre profiles for 17" wheels usually 205/40/17??
my 182 runs on 205/45/16 which probably works out to be the same rolling diameter (any math geeks more than welcome to prove me wrong) so it's just a question of weight.
OZ wheels are supposed to be light anyway aren't they?
1. the R resets the cruise control to the previous speed before it was de-activted (by pressing the brake / clutch)
2. The 0 also switches the Cruise Control off
3. The + or - on the other side is used to adjust the cruise control speed setting (goes up to a max. of 123mph)
There is also a...
because i may be able to get my hands on a set of Anthracite ones with new tyres which wont cost the earth. I have the silver ones but a refurb & respray done professionally will be about £60 per wheel plus i need 4 new tyres which aint cheap!
morning all,
i'm in the market for some new wheels for my 182. I really like the Turini's alot but it seems every man & his dog has got a set on their clio and i'm thinking i'd like to be a little different so was considering some OZ Ultraleggera's.
I've seen black UL's on an Arctic 182 and...
i've always heard bad reports about ebc pads (whether they be green, red or yellow)
Pagid blues are supposed to be excellent though. I've got Ferodo DS2500's on mine and they are brilliant i have to say. not tried them on track but i live in the valleys ans they're more than up to the task of...
my 182 isn't cupped either but the tyres came as standard with 205's so i just assumed that 195 wasn't an option that's all.
i'm sticking with the 205 though - no complaints from me
the tyres originally fitted to the 172's were 195 but the Exalto PE2's (which were designed specifically for the 182 btw) are 205/45/16.
the slightly wider tyre means that there will be more tread in conatct with the road which therefore increases grip and thus will result in better handling...
there's a black clio in my worls car park with the top ones in 17" and they look absolute sh!te to be brutally honest - dont bother with them ones.
bottom ones aint much better to be honest. OZ Super T's or Ultra Leggera's in Gunmetal would suit your car best i'd say
the tyres which K-Tec off er with their Spedlines are 195/45/16 where as the PE's are 205/45/16 - does this not nother you? i'd much rather run on 205 myself
i'm bedding mine in at the minute too but even now they stop better than my standard ones did.
i haven't 'deployed the parachutes' yet but i'm going to be taking her for a little run over the weekend i think:evil:
just noticed - how come you've got a door lock on your drivers door? my 182 only has a lock on the passenger side and the driver side is completely smoothe
looks nice mate and the Turinis really suit it. The Cup spoiler will be a right b@stard to get hold of unless you go direct to a dealer.
as for lowering - i'd only go for a 30mm drop to be honest - eibach sportlines should do nicely! not cheap but you get what you pay for
you'll love em mate - they give you so much more confidence, especially in the wet as it was lashing down on my way home from work and they felt great :D
you'd do better to stick two sponges between your calipers than use Greenstuff pads - they're complete sh!te mate (and that's being polite;) )
Mintex 1144's are supposed to be good but mintex extreme are not so good.
i've just put Brembo HC's and Ferodo DS2500 pads on mine with braided lines...
