I had a sum up at work a few years back how much an Iveco daily van would cost from the parts bin as the prices were ridiculous, a £22k van worked out at nearly £110k, plus fitting
Dropped a right bollok,
after 2 hours of waiting for BMW assist I got bored so with nothing more than BMWs supplied flat blade screwdriver and a top notch swearing phrasebook I got it running after removing the air filter, air box & intercooler pipework
thank fcuk for that! all seems fine but...
as yoda said
There is no try, do or do not! ( I use that on apprentices )
I'll finish the cup for you in a day, cable ties gaffe tape and a 4lb hammer, no guarantee on the quality of the finish mind.
water pump will turn backwards like that and may walk the belt off the pulley as it doesn't have the groves for the ribs on the belt to run in,
@NorthloopCup what do you reckon?
When I saw 201hp I nearly fell of my chair I laughed that hard.
The guy from Turkmenistan is going to tell anyone from here who try's to order one to "go fcuk themselves" and I can't say I blame him.
Those PS3's will have been through a very good heat cycle and have a hard layer, use them on the road for a week or two just to scrub them in again and take that hard layer off.
Yes, because I Have a private road available to me.
I have a buzzer wired up to an omex shift light, it's never seen so much action,
with the flywheel as well, it's like a bike going through the gears.
here is the graph of speed vs revs,
first column 1st gear, second column 2nd gear etc
First off a MASSIVE thank you @NorthloopCup for sorting out my gearbox, the amount of effort Mark has put into my gearbox has been immense,
if your average box builder had built this box the reliability of the internals would have been greatly reduced, it's down to Marks keen eye and OCD nature...
Apart from giving me a left forearm like Mike Tyson with all the shifting I reckon 1-1.5 seconds,
Its all going back together tomorrow, should be ready for the friday rush hour GP.
I went for the gripper with a lower FD ratio in my hill climb car because I'm chasing Tenths of a second, but will probably have another box built with a quaife diff for a second car for track days and general hooning about as the gripper diff / final drive ratio will be terrible day to day use...
Bit of progress tonight,
Fitted the New lightweight Flywheel with new bolts,
New Valeo clutch and mated the gripper box up ready to drop back in.
I'm just waiting for the new injectors coming now.
