Speedo will still work on a 172 as is reads from a sensor on the diff housing on the box, 182's read from the N/S abs sensor,

Are both rear wheels locking?
I'm thinking you may have a seized shocker or a twisted axle that is unloading one wheel (like cocking a leg)
When heavy braking is causing a lock on that wheel
Just to add I would put the brake lines back in there original ports (diagonal split) as I don't fancy...
I do but my welding requires lots of grinding afterwards:smile:,

Too much front camber for a road car,
if you want it to drive nicely on the road knock 1 degree of camber (down to 1 45) off the front and set toe out of 6-10 minutes (and lift the suspension 30mm)
