    Is my car broke?

i had a diagnostic check in december. under engine diagnostics, it found 'fault 5622 (status permanent) - downstream oxygen sensor heat CCT - short circuit to earth' Could this be a cause? The car accellerates fairly well on straights, its just on hills, it has no torque. The polo sails up...

    Is my car broke?

its got 182 wheels on it, with mitcho exalto's. 205/45/16 i think. I bought my car with a janspeed exhaust too, would that take away torque?

    Is my car broke?

i was going to work this morning, and i had to scream up a hill in second, 4/5K, to keep up with a normal accellerating (dare i say it) nissan micra :S Its on 44k miles. I bought it in august, and all ive done is change the oil and filter. Previosu owner had service at 37k i think

    Is my car broke?

I've got a clio 1.2 16v dynamique (75bhp), and although its no performance vehicle, it is sooo slow compared to my friends 02 reg polo S 1.2, which is only 65bhp. I drove the polo last night, and it pulls so easily through all its gears, and has plenty of torque on hills. Another mate has a 1.2...

    Key scratches

Hi. I've been reading the detailing section, and keep hearing about this 'PC polisher' It was mentioned somewhere that stone chips can be sanded down with wet and dry, Meg scratch X and a pc polished, returning the area to new.... would this work on a vandal key scratch to my clio 172 wing? I...

    Cabasse Cd player

it requires a security code, 4 digits. It would be in the manual for the original car, otherwise your going to need the seriel number and get it from renault

    1.6 16v engine

Thanks for the comments people. Reason i ask, is my current clio is basically a 172 replica, based on a 1.2 16v dynmaique. So a bit more power would of been nice, if it was just a case of dropping in a 1600 engine. The 172 conversion in my opinion is not worth it, i might aswel get a real 172...

    1.6 16v engine

Would it be relatively simple to install a 1.6 16v dynamique engine into my 1.2 16v dynamique, and would i be able to use current electrics, gearbox etc? thoughts appreciated, Rob

    weird insurance rule

I bought the car as it is. I don't know whats been done to it. All i was told by the previous owner is the vehicle has stiffer suspension. I told this to the insurance company and they were happy to quote, regardless of my lack of knowledge. If they were unsure, wouldnt they send out an...

    weird insurance rule

I have just obtained a quotation for my modified renault clio. I said the vehicle has stiffer suspension from standard. The lady on the phone said: "We cannot insure lowered suspension, however 'stiffer' suspension is allowed as it does not mention it in their 'not allowed' policy...
