    interesting argument. (can of worms)

Don't see why so many have issues with the two cars being compared? It's not about quantitive factors; age, 0-60, bhp, spec etc, in that sense you can't really compare, but qualative factors i.e. feel, driver satisfaction, why not? I've never driven one but I'll always be interested to...

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

I'd love to drive one, a few relatives have had them in the past. From what I heard, they handled great and cornered brilliantly if you treated them with respect, none of them complained about sauntering towards hedges, maybe they could just drive!

    My new GTI

It might not bother you but I find it frustrating...the car stops very quickly but I'm applying a fair bit of pressure to the pedal and theres not a great deal of feel. Quality thread btw, 9 pages!! Quite enjoyed seeing some of the pics in here and hearing peoples experiences with them.

    My new GTI

This man possibly has a point here. I've got the 266mm kit as said, pads looked practically brand new and the discs have got plenty of life too, ran through some fresh fluid and bled the front brakes after fitting them. They stop the car well don't get me wrong, definetely an improvement but...

    My new GTI

Looks much better without the splitter. It didn't come with one for a reason; it doesn't need one, people put them on sometimes for the sake of it I think!

    A damn good thrashing!

I always feel guilty after a thrash with all the cars I've had so far. It's stupid I know!

The cars you wish you never sold... What were they?

Re: The car you wish you never sold... What were they? I think some have misunderstood the title of the thread. The car you wish you never sold, not list your car history!

The cars you wish you never sold... What were they?

Re: The car you wish you never sold... What were they? Both very nice! I have owned a ZS and now a GTI, how do you find the ZS compared to the GTI?

    My new GTI

Dave, that is simply gorgeous. You earnt your Sir title right there! Ste; I'll come and catch up with u in the next couple of weeks mate! Joey, disclaimer on Kamracings site about the raceland: "Due to the budget nature of this Manifold some alterations may be needed to successfully fit your...

    Downgrade Complete (Shed content)

Definetely want a spin in this! Bet you've been up to your usual tricks of suprising a few folk! Can you promise I will come out with an intact spine? Russ has told me all about these coilovers lol!

So what? This obviously isn't driven by a knob and doesn't have reverse rake...so what are you getting at?

    Cliosport drivers

There are on most forums. This forum has relatively few compared to most others! There is a fine borderline between car enthusiasm and chavvyness IMO.

    My new GTI

Cheers Joey. Funny enough your Clio was quite similar to mine too so we must share great taste! The Ecosse only makes a din when you stab the throttle or once you're around and above 5k (best bit) lol My brakes were off a 206 GTI which fitted straight on under the 14's though they are a bit...

    My new GTI

Heres mine: Reccomend the 266mm brake kit and the Ecosse induction kit with green filter that I've got on mine.

    My new GTI

Looks fantastic, great upgrade. I speak to Callum a bit and know its wanted for nothing. I've got a diablo red W plater myself and have been really pleased with it! One thing, please don't slam the torsion bar...They look shocking done like that and result in the beam becoming shagged!

    Cliosport drivers

This is what I was getting at! On a side not I quite like being a non chav owning what some would call a chav car :D

    Cliosport drivers

I get the impression some folk on here do! I have seen your particular car referred to as an 'RS-one' by folk at times lol, that sounds more like a rapper than a car. I suppose so but thats just how it is, it's hardly heresy!

    Cliosport drivers

I'd personally be very likely to cringe at someone who called it a Renaultsport Clio 172, in person, in public. Cliosport is what most people outside of this forum call them, but then again to many that is a distant world lol!

The story of my ZR **Warning - Rover Content** PIC HEAVY

Apologies in that case then. My mate had paid for tracktime and he gave his pass to someone else, then he seemed evasive about giving him a refund. I also watched him insist on moving about 10 members cars around the stand, stalling a comical amount of times then insulting a couple of people...

    Clio 172 justified?

You work part time, you say you can justify the insurance, I say why not. A lot of people on here are sceptical and negative and will tell you that you can't afford to run one based on assumption!

The story of my ZR **Warning - Rover Content** PIC HEAVY

Does that guy happen to be Tony? Went to trax with my mate in his ZR last year and watched some guy called Tony make a complete prat of himself and the club.

how often do you "heel and toe"?

It's much easier with a cable throttled car I've found, instant response!

    MK2 Project

Even near standard at the end there, it looks mint in those last few pics. Nice job done here.

how often do you "heel and toe"?

On most downshifts apart from at really slow speed. Definetely blip the throttle to drop a cog or two! In my 106 however no heel is required, just big toe and little toe ;)

Am I the only one ?

    Same on all Fords that!

Ph2 172 or 182 which one to buy?

True that ^ this owners club is notorious for driving down prices. I'm yet to see any of these good examples [eople speak of with belts done, wanting nothing, for below 4k.
