Any 80's sporty ford (XR's, RS Turbos) hits the spot for me.
I saw a really tidy flame red one on here recently for £1450 for 76k with belts done. Was very tempted.
I'd be more inclined to get a VTS for 1k though.
I'm quite happy hanging onto my (freshly refurbed from Apple) 3GS 'til I'm allowed an upgrade in June! As others have said about the iphone 4, it doesn't feel outdated at all to me, other than perhaps the camera.
Tech geeks will obviously be bending over backwards to get one next Friday.
I was thinking this too...Ok for what it is, considering it's a fairly old design and in a small car. Doesn't stand up to most modern interiors though!

Sounds like its very cleverly put together that, using a mix of the right OEM and aftermarket bits. Good to see you made something decent of it rather than just dismissing it as not very good handling.
Ah ok...I did fancy studying journalism myself (dream job would be a motoring journo as I'm sure it would be for a few on here!) but it seemed like quite a long haul to get to where I'd want to be. Seems like you're making good progress though, the blogs read well!

As you're a keen detailer iirc, with a new car it doesn't need tidying up like an older car which may need polishing to improve the finish and get it looking 'new' over a period of time.
