You people have got it all wrong!
How many 1.2s 1.4s etc do you see fitting exhausts and filters etc?
Do they say, "Oh no, I cant fit that Magnex because my ECU wont take advantage of it!" NO THEY DONT!
You only need to go the custom remap route when you start playing with different cam...
Theoretically yes, there is a larger area to pressurise, but you couldnt actually measure the difference.
Once you have a properly sized intercooler, you will not benefit from fitting a larger one. You will only need a bigger cooler if you increase your boost.
Remember, a 100% efficient...
I understood that the first shape (square) is the mk1 ph1, and the ph2 came along around P reg which is slightly curvier.
From R until Y reg onwards was the mk2.
I think the current shape is mk3, but Im unsure. Haynes manuals call it the revised model range.
This is not totally correct. You can only damage speakers by underpowering them if the signal you send them is clipped. This will only happen if you turn up the gain too much and the sound wave excedes the maximum capabilities of the amplifier (in this case the head unit).
You can run small...
adtmits:
I have done exactly the same damage as you!
The splitter is £150 odd! But the undertray that connects the bottom of the bumper to the subframe is only about £15.
I was one of those impatient people who had to have it when it first came out. Paid the full list price of £12,995.
I was told it was strictly limited to 500 UK cars so didnt think Id have much standing trying to do a deal.
Hi guys,
Im thinking of selling the Cup and replacing it.
8,000 miles
Almost exactly a year old (52 reg)
2 years of factory warranty left
R-Sport ECU
Otherwise standard
How much should I be asking for? I was thinking somewhere in the region of £10,000?
I dont think you can get Eagle F1 GS-D3s in 195/45 R16!

Ill be having a set of G2s fitted in the very near future.
Me neither but I did it and was able to make a much better job of everything and it all goes back with no squeeks and rattles too. I recon a whole dashboard top costs around £30.00 - it really is that thin.
If you dont know much about ICE it sounds like you need the help of your local ICE specialist.
If you are buying bits from them (and not the Internet) they should be only to pleased to give you advice.
Which car have you got?
Which head unit have you got?
What connections do you have on your autolead?
Usually the remote by your steering wheel must plug into the autolead, which then plugs into the remote slot of the head unit. Its not hard to fit as long as you know what youre doing -...
A checksum is this:
Say you have 8 bytes of data:
16 26 75 255 84 01 65 77
How does the system know that these 8 bytes are correct and not corrupt in some way? Queue the ckecksum. A calculation is performed on the 8 bytes and the result of this calculation is the checksum.
Simple...
I wouldnt worry about power (penis size) talk. Put the car against the clock and you will see its faster in every situation you can test. My 0-60 is down to 6 seconds thanks to the 40mph first gear.
There is a slot for a CD changer in the back of the standard unit, but I think you might need an adapter to make the Alpine unit work with the standard VDO headunit.

This is a diagram I made for someone who asked a similar question a while back.
Do as 16vneil says:
Swap the amps speaker output so that the left hand speaker plays the right channel. If there is still crackling then you can eliminate the amp, and indeed anything before it as it is either a wiring or speaker problem.
Your problem sounds like a loose connection, which...
Has anyone installed an amplifier under the passenger seat of a 2001+ Clio yet?
Im tempted to do it on mine and cant see any immediate problems but thought Id check if anyone here had done it and had any problems first.
The amp is a Kenwood 4 channel which Im planning to use to power the...
Fitted it myself.
It invalidates the warranty on sound system components I think. So if a speaker blew - you would have to pay for it. But if the engine blew it is totally unrelated.
Check our ICE section in this forum for adapter details and how to remove the dash (if you needed to fit new...
I have the Sony MP70 in mine - it is not an MP3 player in the true sense of the word - but it plays CDs full of MP3s.
Fitted the module to retain steering remote and dash display too - works a treat.
