Im another whos going down this route when ive got the money to fit the mainifold that ive got already.
From thoses who have done it would you say its worth it??
I resently replaced the bushes in mine for the uprated ones k-tec sell and my car now feels 100% more solid when driving but when you first change them it will feel really weird like you can feel every movement and every knock but you soon get use to it.

Thats total crap id say, or has he used one of them Fisher Price rolling roads :rasp:
I bet mine would probably perform better-even with the state of it after the shoddy cam work :eek:

Remember that just because its 1 litre more doesnt necasarily say that your going to wipe the floor with everything else on the road ;)
The law has been there for a few years but only recently have they started to clamp down on it. Funny thing is that local police dont give to sh*ts but its the traffic cops that bother you. They had a special gadget to test the light but they only use to have one per unit so you had to be lucky...
Must admit with the weather beginning to change nows not the best time id have chose for getting a beast like that but i sure if you take it STEADY your be alright.
I must say though,i like them much better in blue-theres one in Brentwood and the presence of it when its coming up the road...

Shaun- i know of someone who has supercharged a 172 and is running about 250bhp.
Via Track n, road performance in Rainham,Essex they told me a guy bought a stand along supercharger from a company in Sweeden called Rotrex(think thats how its spelt).
Quickest ive done was a 14.7 thats with dodgy cams.
Also custom exhaust,filter,decat, 15"alloys(makes a big difference i think) especially on excelleration.
I took the 197 out at my local renault garge in Essex& to be honest although i felt more comfortable i wasnt overly impressed and the dealer was a mate of mine so i let him take my car out and he came back saying he liked mine better and it felt quicker.
Ive been thinking about this alot. With my old 1.2 i had 205 tyres and flying round corners was really comfortable as the car seem to glide around roundabouts where now with my 172 ive got 195,s and it doesnt feel as realiable as before and instead of thinking the cars going to glide im worrying...
So the decat pipe wont go back in once the 182 manifold has been fitted?
So you just make up a piece to join the back of the exhaust to the manifold?
I did notice the lamba sensor lead connection on the manifold.
I was just wondering from thoses who have done it, how much did it cost and whereabouts are they based?
Ive got a price from another guy off here of £200 roughly but was told Both flanges on the manifold have been cut off and just welded together.
I was hoping for a neat joint so if needs be...
Yes 1 annoying thing about this model is that allthought they come with automatic headlights u still have to actually turn the lights on the stalk to get the flasher to work as well as the headlight washer jets! :mad:
Ive got a problem when i floor it the car goes into safety mode where the revs drop to about 2k and i cant accelaerate?(the dash light right in the centre comes on-possibly coil light?)
Im having to turn off the engine and switch back on.
Any ideas what could cause it?
Is it a sensor issue or...
