yeh was a decent day, fair play for people still turning up considering the weather, sayin that we should be used to it by now up here !!
the noise of your RS can only be described as epic lol, love it and impressive figures to boot, Craigs LCR ran well, wasn't expecting those figures at all...
snows literally just started coming down here in the past hour, 2inch so far !
hopefully it doesn't carry on through the night or i'll be digging the car out just to see the thing let alone think about trying to get out !
just sent you a pm basically sayin pop down if your ever around my way mate lol, before i got mine i looked at a few of the guys cars on here (brown bear/Aron/f0xy/chrispy.clio/etc....) for info and pros/cons, always good to know the pitfalls and things to take into consideration (from people...
don't get me wrong 106's are great cars and are great fun but i've had no end of problems with a couple of my pugs due to previous muppets playing about with the torsion bars and had to get a recon real axle on my last 206 due to some issues with it
One thing to keep in mind is to make sure...
what are you looking to get out of it in the end mate (mainly track biased, 1 or 2 days a year etc..)
i've been working on my 'project' for a wee while now but thats going to track biased (but still road legal...hopefully)
Ph1 will be the cheapest and prob best option to get into it due to...
nah sorry mate they never got back to me after me chasing it up, tbh even if you have one pipe getting hotter than the other due to an uneven gas flow from each pipe i doubt it would make any difference, more of a slight annoyance (and you would expect an even gas flow from a big manufacturer)...
always look forward to reading your race write ups and about your car updates, well done for this season lads you've definately done well for yourselves
look forward to hearing how you get on next year and if i'm ever down near one of your race meets will pop along
my Clio WILL be on the road for this (eventually) so i'll be up for heading along

putting it back to standard and selling the mods would definitely be worth more for you cash wise but depends if you can be bothered with the hassle i suppose, sounds like a really good spec motor though so you never know you might get a decent offer as is
Needs must and all that, doing well if your managing the Evo AND a new flat ! Would love AP's but can't justify them for just road driving
Might need to look into a new clutch next year aswell, mines still going strong but it's been on the same clutch for the past 4/5 years so the previous...
yeh it was always something i was prepared for Sean, no point in buying something like it and not taking car of it and skimping with running/maintaining it, all or nothing imo
cheers Moby
started refurbing the other standard OZ wheels ive got for it tonight but they need a bit of work so...
cheers again lads
theres pros and cons to driving it like, funnily enough more people do move over for you as soon as they see you in their mirrors but.... it also seems to bring out every r****d on the road that automatically thinks you want a race or are a dick for owning one
yeh i think...
haha yeh that wud b easier mate, been meaning to check if you can get into the multistory car park at the park and ride, might be able to get some decent pics on the roof of the cars
you getting the Evo on the roller Jason ?
yeh could do mate, where about in edin you coming from ? could possibly meet at the mcd's just down from the airport ?
park and ride before the bridge ?
performance trim on eBay (cheaper) ? - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-clio-mk1-mk2-5-CARBON-FIBRE-DOOR-CARDS-/320611738127?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aa5f2e20f
yeh the lower the intake temp the better twingors, would prob be minimal difference tbf, i'm not so much bothered about figures and more wanting to see it's running well
ah right sound mate, could possibly meet up with you on route on our side of the bridge if you fancied it mate ? would only...
reading fail, somehow i missed you putting what mileage it had done in your last post ha !
fingers crossed mate, the good thing is it's guarenteed not to be a hot day so figures will be on the slightly better side :rasp:
haha yeh it would certainly be nice mate but you've got to remember my Evo's coming up for 11 years old now so she's no spring chicken
not sure how many miles yours had done before you had it on the rollers last but renault engines are known to 'loosen up' a bit over time so you never know
few wee mods so far Gaz, really need to update this (will get round to it this weekend)
got a set of HSD coilovers with pillowball top mounts fitted about a month ago, also got it fully undersealed to make sure it's protected as much as possible at the same time the coilovers were fitted...
yeh will be interesting to see what it makes as it's never been on a RR as far as i know, book figure is 280bhp so hoping not too many ponies have escaped over the years ! cheers mate
where about you coming from BioHazrd ?
unfortunately having to take the Evo along twingors, the Clio's not ready yet :( got the week off before the RR day to get the new engine fitted (eventually) but it's not taxed/MOT'd etc.. so won't be along even if it is running in time which is a pity...
