i'll be there early bells aswell BioHzrd (prob not quite as early as 8 like lol but maybe half 8/9)
not sure who else is heading across from the fife/edin side
yeh as said above just down from the shell garage, go on google street view when on the road, white sign writing on a brown backing
could always stick it up on MLR (if we need more numbers) and see if any other Evo's fancy it as Extreme are obviously one of the favoured garages on there
haha sound bud, reason i was asking is the same as what Jaff said above, just want to make sure because of the hassle of switching it between the 2wd and 4wd setup
i can do any of the dates aswell but on the 27th i've got something on in the afternoon so time dependant
haha would be better for me mate, really need to get my finger out and get the clio finished, been neglecting it recently and it's looking sorry for itself in bits in my garage !
just got my car back from Extreme last weekend, more than happy to speak to John and see what he can do and when he can fit us in, i'd be up for getting the Evo on the rollers, just a pity my clio won't be ready unless it's late November :o
whys that Danny ? obviously KW's are what i'm wanting but their double the price and it's whether i can hold out long enough to save the extra over the FK's lol
even for track ? thats the 2 options i'm considering depending on cash at the time but the damping adjustability on the FK's (track use only) sway it for me
yeh thats for a refub and powdercoat of the wheels mate so all scratches/kerbing will be sorted (as long as there isn't chunks missing)
i'm sure their used to people just turning up with the wheels off the car mate and it's the best way to do it (just take your wheels off at yours and drop...
got one that came fitted to the car (and in my last car aswell) and didn't bother activating either of them
i spoke to one of the insurers about this when he asked me if it had one and basically told him if my car gets stolen i would rather i didn't get it back tbh, he agreed and basically...
well it's only at £670 and 90% of people watching it won't actually put in a bid so you never know, most people on here should know how much a fully running 172 would go for nowdays anyway so should put that into perspective
yeh you need to sand smooth surfaces you are spraying in particular, as said above the paint needs to have something to grab onto and keying the surface will make sure the paint doesn't just flake off in a few days time
yeh thats always the dilema i suppose
didn't realise they were that strong to be able to take up to 550 with relatively very little done, it's never going to be a cheap game any way you look at it lol, that's why i'm not even giving it a second thought for now, just going to enjoy it as is for...
i've seen the factory fitted gauges below the radio on a couple of 5/6's and it looks really good (even if the actual gauges look a bit dated) the worst is the pillar pods you can get that sit on top of your dash, if it's a track car then function over form but in most cases it isn't
ah right...
cheers Darren, yeh i swear people just get the gauges for the sake of it just because they can and see other people with them, then never actually pay attention to them, suppose that can be said to a lot of mods and 'fads', same can be said on CS
as far as i can see it's a factory paint job...
didn't know you were at the sprint at the weekend mate, was supposed to be going but i ended up picking this up on Sunday so couldn't make it, gutted as it would have been good to pop along to
not a bad situation to be in though, MLR is a nightmare at times as it just gives you ideas, very...
haha it's crazy the parts that come up on there Naith ! obviously just been paying attention to it for the past week or 2 but it's good to see soo many performance parts on there instead of just 'cosmetics' like most other forums, it's dangerous though
cheers for the comments :)
still not driven it since i got it on sunday as i've just sorted out the insurance this morning, will hopefully be able to take it out for a blast tonight
i've wanted one for years and i'm in the position where i've cut my outgoings so i thought why not :rasp: and...
Well after about 2 months and looking at about 20 Evo's later i finally got the keys to my new Evo yesterday, just thought i'd stick up a project thread so i can update as i do bit's and pieces to it and keep it in one place and obviously open to comments if anyones interested (or not !)
It's...
as said before you think about anything else or go any further do a track day or 2, then you'll be able to make a more informed decision to what you want, your just second guessing at this point
oh yeh and your looking at more than £6.5k for a half decent VX220
