Super beading = bestest most durable most dirt resistant product right? Sonax BSD all over again
The only thing with the Soft 99 fusso coat is it's pretty cheap, but a years durability I doubt very much
@aucky
What are your thoughts on the obsession waxes? Considering a pot of hybrid 86 but like yourself thinking I should just start using what I already have
fairings and decals just needed a cleanser to bring them up like Tripple. I then topped it with Reload as I could use it on all surfaces. general washing I use a pre spray like citrus power and a detailing brush to get into all the little details.
Have to agree with the above, not much can really be done with the existing screen so would suggest a replacement
Where abouts in Essex are you? I'm sure there'll be someone local to confirm
For winter best to just stick to toughcoat and not top with illusion. As tough coat is so easy to use you can add additional layers after a routine wash like you would with a quick detailer
Only you can answer if it needs claying or not by looking and seeing the condition the paint is in. If...
dont use fabric softeners, best to use non bio detergent. a little drop of white vinegar also helps.
With the wash mitt, best to just run the pressure washer through it, or at least the hose on fan jet setting after each wash. I've never had to do any more than that.
HD cleanse leaves a lovely base and looks great. Buts it's not the nicest to apply or remove. I tried a few Zymol waxes over some different pre wax cleansers and worked ok over rejuvenate
A lot of their waxes can be a bit difficult if left too long or applied to think. It's def as thin as...
Carbon application is very nice and spreads well but shouldn't be left too long. It's beading and sheeting are like all Zymol waxes and initially are very impressive, some of the best for a wax, but drops off pretty quickly.
Some new wax hybrids that seem popular are the soft99 and sonax waxes...
Carbon is generally a nice all round wax. But I didn't find it to be overly durable against contaminants and had to clay after removing it instead of a general wipe down with a tar remover. AF passion is not quite as nice to use but is more durable and looked better on most colours IMO...
most people are likely to have something like autoglym super resin polish of meguairs ultimate polish. Try something pretty mild like those first and see how you get on.
Power seal is a very long lasting sealant that needs to be worked well for it to bond. Ideally with a DA. Whereas toughcoat is simply spray on, buff around and wipe off. Power seal will bond over tripple but performs better on a bare paint base
The wash and wax is ok, the the wax additive will cover your wax or sealant under until it wears off. Weather dependant it may only last a few days but might end up making it more dirty between routine washes.
There are loads of people that use a wax or gloss enhancing shampoo and love it and...
am I right in thinking you have crayon on the chalk board / matt paint on the bonnet? As said a tar remover is where I'd start, or a strong all purpose cleaner.
