Toughcoat won't really work all that well on a wet car as it really needs to cure before removing.
Most quick detailing sprays can be used on a wet car to help water spotting and drying. Used on a dry car a quick detailer will add more gloss. Used on a wet car it does dilute it down so not...
My golf is currently wearing carpro flyby30 glass sealant and it performed as well as gtechniq g1 after I'd applied gyeon wetcoat to the glass. Before this it was very poor in comparison and it's only 4months old
That's all quite normal for a waxes or sealed panel to allow the water to run off the bonnet like that and not allow it to sit there
As for a machine polisher, look at a dual action (DA) polisher like the DAS6
I've just walked past the car and noticed a few tiny spots of staining on the roof after using gyeon wetcoat this afternoon.
I can't win. Was only only applying to a few panels and rinsing at a time. Roof as done first alone and well rinsed. Then car was fully rinsed again when all panels were...
@gally your method for applying Hydr02 and wiping it down before rinsing. Do you spray over the entire car, then wipe down and rinse, or a few panels at a time?
I've experienced the staining as found by JD and it was a PITA to remove. But I put it down to spraying on the whole car before...
Not sure if you're being serious or just argumentative? Always thought it was called beading? Who said beading it isn't beading? It's still part of a wax or sealants water behaviour is it not? Just not taking into account how else it performs.
you don't have to try many products to see a...
The water behaviour of a wax or sealant helps define it as one of its properties. Can't really say it's anything new as it's something I've always considered. It can also help a car stay cleaner.
I find washing a car a relaxing experience and can find it help unwind after a bad or hectic week...
autoglym HD wax is £35/£40. is very durable and at a decent price IMO. But it feels rubbish to apply, I don't think it really looks any better than any other wax or sealant. Therefore I choose to pay £90 for autofinesse Spirit that only lasts the same, but is a more pleasurable experience to...
BSD gives great water behaviour, but I'm not sure how much actual protection it provides. Plus it feels cr@p to use I still have half my first bottle left
Ooh prima slick, does exactly what it says on on the tin. One of the slickest QD's I've used. Doesn't overly add too much in the way of protection either so won't interfere with your wax or sealant. Never had it smear. RDR I think I have a small amount left if you want to try it. I was gonna buy...
Presume you're making reference to the likes of C2 and reload? These are typically more top up sealants to be used over a base nano sealant. But can be used over a wax base and still perform but for a shorten life span but you won't have the bonding issues of other sealants
It can't be used as a QD. More a case can be applied like a QD for topping up protection. Once the initial coat has gone down a light mist over the panel then spead and buff off with a MF.
I wouldn't recommend use HD wax over it either as it's a hybrid sealant and quite solvent heavy it might...
Didn't think you liked avalanche?
I personally thought imperial was nicer to use than bilberry, but it's been a while sine I used anything other than imperial as a dedicated wheel cleaner as all my wheels are now sealed so only need shampoo or a pre wash product
I change my preference for quick detailers as often as the seasons. Z6, AF finale, prima slick, megs ultimate
But something that feels slick and is nice to use is always a winner. Keen to try this, but then I haven't used a chemical guys QD yet and there's plenty of them
