Knuckles when you say eating itself, is it starting to break down and crumble. Sometimes if they don't dry correctly pads will stay damp and deteriorate. Also spurring the pad aggressively can lead to premature failing.
Best at stick a picture up so we can see what's happening to it, but if...
I'm sure there as closer members to you but you're less than an hour from me last time I travelled that way.
Depending on what you're looking to achieve I don't mind lending a hand, but don't really offer machine polishing other than on my own cars
a quick hand polish :p / cleanse and wax...
I used it on gloss black and very dark met. grey and had no issues at all. But in the week used C2v3 on a few panels of both cars and had awful smearing on the black paint. Never before have I had it so bad, so went over it with megs ultimate QD and it went back to looking deep and glossy. Think...
If you can feel an edge to the scratch, best you'll achieve with polishing is to round off the edges making it not so deep and noticeable.
Some of them don't look that bad and with a proper compound you should be able to clean them up quite a bit. Maybe best trying to find someone in your area...
A long time ago their were a group of French tuners that filmed street racing like this. They had a turbocharged Clio 16v that was exceptionally quick and passing much more prestige cars.
I remember reading a post somewhere to say they did this to show no streaking or smears. Most would probably not use that much applying to a whole car let alone one panel
not noticed the difference in water behaviour on the car, but will watch the video again
Using one of the coatings to seal wheels really does make it so so simple in keeping them clean. I'll only use this on wheels now as I see little point in going through the whole decon prep process every few months.
I'm sure Cliotoby like the lake country pads. But never used any of them myself. Presume you're using with a DA? If so Hexlogic or autofinesse pads works well for me. Currently using Scholl pads on rotary that I like, and believe they adore supposed to be good by DA as well
Just read through that thread. took multiple hits using green and orange Hexlogic pads so took quite a heavy hit!
Not of quite the quick one step single stage CYC thread initial led me to believe
Originally desire was produced in a quantity of 20, then 500, then mass produced. Angel wax used this on the attack after they weren't used as the supplier
Angel wax got upset when autofinesse used a different supplier for Desire. They did something similar when valet pro went to another supplier for bilberry wheel cleaner.
Theres plenty of threads about it on DW. All I can say is that all the samples of desire and desirable have felt different...
Gtechniq C1, 4 and 5 are all the same product, can be used on painted panels, painted and natural I painted textured plastics. Bare metal. Painted or I painted wheels. Pretty much everything apart from glass and probably rubber.
Foe wheels, exhaust tailpipes and trim I wouldn't recommend...
They can be very hit and miss with their processing of orders. Seems to have improved over past years though but Toby seemed to get the worst service out of us all
When contaminants start to bond to the paint as the wax begins to fail. If you're regularly waxing and the surface remains nice and clean then there will be little need
if it's well protected there will be less bonded contaminants, so in theory a wipe down with a tar remover, re wash then...
Claying removes bonded contaminants from the paint. A wax or sealant provides protection to the paint finish achieved after polishing.
Use a damp yellow foam applicator to apply the dodo juice wax as thinly as possible. A small wipe of the applicator in the little pot will cover the majority...
