I see what your saying, but he could get into all sort of s**t if the owners are dodgy. Tbh if you have a cat and let them out you should always know this is a possibility.
I'd either try electrolysis or as mentioned Vinegar, but that's going to be a lot of 45p vinegar to cover a block. Electrolysis is easier. You just need a big bin, battery charger, soda crystals, water and a small piece of steal. Failing that, if you're planning on using the block, if you're...
decent code reader mate or you'll be ploughing more money into guessing. Nip to renault or find someone local who has renault clip and they will be able to tell you easily where the issue lies.
I was under the impression that with 421's if you tweek the exhaust cam slightly one way, they run better. I assumed the catcam tool did this. Not to say they don't run with standard timing as mine runs fine, and will run even better when I get the idle raised.
This doesn't look like it would...
iirc there are two pump for sprays, but I can't remember if it's one for front, one for back, or one seperate for the lights. Are the windscreen ones working? could be a blockage. Are the washer ones leaking?
I think they work slightly better on the catcam tool. It's a bit of a con really. If you make cams for a car it should be made to suit oe timing IMO.
438's are too secretive. I mean why bother. 421's are just as good. What are they hiding. If they were miles better I would understand
The timing tool ktec have is the one catcam recommend for their cams. Inlet or exhaust is slightly advanced iirc. Can't remember which. It's like grp N timing tool
lol. I can't believe they ripped the engine apart without getting PROPER diagnostics done. 10minutes on clip and you would have been able to find out the source.
