It's your firewall then. Even though you think you've disabled it it's still active in the background.

Sounds like you've got a software firewall installed and because the exe has been updated the firewall is blocking FF from the net hence it can't find any websites.
"Should" they solve it and "will" they solve it are very different things.
You can ask them but my guess is they'll simply say it's not their responsibility and BT will most likely say the same.
All devices connected to the same line that DSL is active on needs a microfilter fitted. Obviously if the alarm really is hardwired into the line then it needs to be disconnected and wired into a filtered faceplate.

They're fine for me. Not doubt beaten by some more expensive set but I'm not an audio geek and as long as the music sounds good I'm happy.
