What did I say about it?
Ring cover is a must for me, just not worth the risk and worry. I paid up for it massively when I went before but I wouldn't have felt comfortable taking the car on there otherwise. It's not the damage to my car that worries me that much, it's the third party...
Not yet mate no. They were having some issues with the dyno when I dropped the car off but I believe these have finally been sorted now.
I've arranged to collect it on Saturday 21st. So still two weeks to get it done properly yet. I won't be using it until Friday the 27th now anyway.
It...
To be honest, if I was the lucky one to buy this car, I probably wouldn't even change the wheels thinking about it. It wouldn't be a track slag, I have my one for that. It would be a weekend car, to take to shows and enjoy. Maybe the odd track day every now and again as it is (no smaller...
Just renewed the insurance for another year. £599 all in. Not the cheapest quote I had, but it's via a friend of a friend so I know I'm in good hands should the worst happen. They also have track day cover as an add on and full Nurburgring cover should I take the car back there.
Just to close this thread off. Insurance is all sorted.
A good friend has a good friend in insurance so I've got a decent policy, but most importantly I know I'm in good hands should the worst happen. Even if I didn't get an agreed value.
I would be seriously interested in taking it off your hands and looking after it
The only thing I would do is change the wheels for 15 inchers, which would probably mean shaving down the Brembos.
Greenlight can't even give me a quote. But I think it could be because I've only got about 3 years NCB. Although with this policy I'm setting the mileage limit to 3000 (realistically do about half of this on the road) which is f**k all. Insurance companies should be jumping at the chance to...
Hi Dan, it was actually you I spoke to on the phone already mate.
From memory you said you wouldn't be able to guarentee an agreed value policy for me though?? And that it might get declined?
Even if the value was up for negotiation I'd still be happy to take a policy out if there was an...
Yeah that's looking like my only option at the minute. Still need to try Keith Michaels again though, although I don't think they offer an agreed value.
Of course. And I never added that to my value.
I was just saying that even at the value I said, it is less than two thirds of what I've spent on modifications alone all in, and therefore I wouldn't be happy with anything less than this.
The cost of a low mileage 182 like mine plus the cost of...
Is yours an agreed value too then mate?
How much is it valued at if you don't mind me asking, PM if you wish.
I'm thinking that I'm valuing my car far too high. I know it wouldn't sell for this, but it's an amount where I wouldn't be happy taking anything less. After all the part costs...
Heavily modified.
They do, but they can't guarantee it. You have to take the policy out and then they send of a request for the agreed value, but they said it's not guaranteed you'd get it.
So it's that time of year again, need to sort the insurance out for the track clio.
Always a pain trying to discuss values. Hate hearing the words 'market value'
I've tried Adrian Flux, best price so far (£550). Brentacre couldn't get near it (£780) and Greenlight said they wouldn't be able...
That's right buddy. Realised I'm never going to find an open ended locking nut key. So just going to trip down one of my studs whilst it's on the car and do so until the socket fits over the nut.
Yeah for the sake of £20 and a bit of cutting. Saves me worrying about it.
