go for the 2.0 ........in time you will be converting to 2.0 anyway, so save a bit of time/money and plump for 1 straight away. imho.
not to mention hes let some of the harshest drivers loose in it for prolonged periods....and i mean real car breakers.

aye with the mk 1 s tho just throw the r19 front box mount at it as well and it pretty much eradicates the prob. iv not had 1 fail with the extra mount in over the 4+ years iv had em. was nearly 1 a year before that.
aye iv owned several of both too. and fixed countless others. so if u want any advice or owt jus ask. always willing to give no BS straight forward answers. ;)
id say 2.0 evry time tbh. whether in valver or if you go for full fun package n go for the willy ;)

yeah fairly easily mate tbh. head gasket in just over an hour too. plenty of ppl have seen me do this..last one i did was gunners actually. would be able to do em quicker with a ramp etc, these times are all on the back street.
and whatever you do..........dont buy one that has a hole in the roof......itl leak and rot the car from the inside.
as above really, pas pumps are generally a little noisy, so if the 1 u look at has a noisy one, its no biggie. most things only take a couple hours to do on the car...
yeah he was bein a prick . i tried to go up the inside jus before the back straight , but u can see the instructors arm popping out the skylines window showing me the error of my ways lol.....i did actually get a warning for that, which was retracted at the insistence of one of the other...
i do have compassion for the newer renos....jons 172 is alrite...handles well, and puts a wry grin on my face evry time i drive it......but then........its quite heavily modified..and they need to be to be enjoyable to drive for me tbh. but as u say.diff opinions etc.

the williams is quicker, better poised, comfier, more economical, has larger boot space so is more practical, is just as reliable, handles better, has more driver feeling, less driver aids/hindrances.
the list could go on.
so the 172 is now the better car??? im confused mate. the cars get better the newer they are...in models.....alledgedly.....so u took another step backwards...moving from the 172 to the trophy???
but they are newer....so they must be better....whenever they were built they are still classed as newer, if registered later.
how u can class the 172 better than a williams, and a 182 better than a 172, and a trophy better than a 182 is beyond me.
the trophy and the williams are fairly...
so there were no more 182s registered after all the trophys??????
but the 197 is better.......so the extra money would have been well spent. ;)
but for something to be better, means that whatever its better than, must be rubbish compared to the newer better thing no??
