My original plan was to get it up and running on the mapped ECU then take it to RS to tweak it. After speaking to Mick at Diamond on Wednesday about trying to use the ECU it presents more trouble than its worth, so the plan is to map it with my ECU. I'd love to go standalone to get the most out...
I bought the kit 2nd hand, the chap i bought it off also had the std ECU mapped as well..... Which conveniently reminds me, he still hasnt sent it to me even though i bought the kit 2 months ago and sent him postage money over 2 weeks ago. Nothing in the post even after he posted in this thread...
I'm having the stock ECU mapped, i'd love to go standalone with the Gen90 as it's plug n play. Another ECU i'd purchase would be the Adaptronic. I need to see how the funds work out.
The amount of effort, work and attention to detail on yours are the reasons why it won't be done before mine. Hopefully by the end of next week mine will look in a much better state. I also need to take the rear Spax coilovers off to be sent off to be rebuilt, and it will also need to be booked...
Thanks Chi, I reckon next Tuesday will be a big visual difference to the Clio at the workshop. The time spent from now until Monday will be all the small jobs in preparation for the other chap to carry it on. Cannot wait to see the lump back in and things like the boost hoses, intercooler and...

Once they're on the car I'll know which way round they should be, another pet hate is having different clips so I had to make sure today they had every single size there and then in stock otherwise I'd have walked away with out any. At least they're the actual Jubilee clip in...
Appreciate the comments so far. I popped into Jewsons builders merchants on the way home to purchase all the jubilee clips for the coolant hoses. Buying the jubilee clips was a job I preferred to do in person rather than over the internet so I could make sure each clip was right for each hose...
OK, so Monday night the work begins after I leave the workshop. I have someone doing the conversion for me, I'm there to make the coffee and do small jobs while my friend tackles pretty much everything else. Tuesday night the engine is lifted out and Wednesday all the service parts are changed...
So after 5 weeks of waiting and parts buying the day finally arrives for the Clio to head to the workshop where the supercharger conversion will take place. All the boxes of parts are loaded up this morning, and after a days work I head up to where the Clio will stay for the next 2-3 weeks...

New 182 exhaust surrounds from Renault are about £28ish each, an alternative is putting a wanted ad in the classifieds for a pair from someone hopefully breaking a 182 and wouldn't mind taking them off the rear bumper

Really appreciate that a lot, I'm a big fan of your project and as you say it's the photos that make it. It's really frustrating when you open up a potentially good project thread to see pages of photos taken in bad light, blurred, poor quality.
Another little update, I popped over to Phase1sr after work to purchase the Forge coolant hoses set. I thought it would be rude not to as I've changed the boost hoses from blue to black, so this is all in keeping with the OE look. At least I know they'll be replacing hoses that are 10 years old...
That's me, i bought it as a shell and built it up using new parts and donor parts from another phase 1 Clio 172. It made it to CS11 and drove it over to the Nurburgring for a weekend in October that year.
Stick some lowering springs up front and tweak the rear torsion bar at the rear, cracking little cars. I had 2 Renault 5 1.4 Campus models in between owning the R5 GT Turbos and they just ran and ran with little or no bother.
Exterior wise it stays just as it is, I might buy a second set of wheels but this is well after the project is finished. But I like how it looks with the anthracite wheels and actually think they suit the Petrol Blue colour quite well. Once everything's all bolted back together I'll need the...
Appreciate that Scott, while you're here I don't suppose you have those Forge hoses still? I'm thinking once the Clio is off the road I could sell the K Tec induction kit to recoup some of the hoses outlay :o
Thanks Dom, I have to admit to browsing your project a few times to see where the different pieces of the kit are placed. Regards the Valeo clutch I've bought it's brand new, I understand fitting the 4 paddle item while the box is off but it's a contradiction saying yours has done well for 12k...
