I'll measure the diameter of my restrictor tonight, then speak to my mate to have him machine me 2-3 billet ones with different diameters. Cheers Craig.
It certainly will be, that's the plan. Would like to get it out on Brands after it's finished for a shakedown to see how it goes. Also toying with fitting a pair of bucket seats as it should end up being a 2nd car.
I know there are different factors that can equate to a final figure but 1 that springs to mind is restrictor diameter size IIRC? I do have 1 but was thinking of having a couple more made up so they can be easily swapped over when it's being mapped.
RyG i'll pop round when it's finished
Cheers, the parts are building up ready and waiting for when the Clio comes off the road. I'm doing really well holding in the excitement, i'm really not sure what the hell it's going to be like when it's back on the road with 250bhp!
Is there a comprehensive guide for this conversion that can be made as a sticky? I'm also thinking of doing this once the supercharger conversion is done on mine
Well done on the sale, ive had quite the opposite experience trying to sell my PB. People saying they only had a 2.5k budget and would i take that for it, 2 solid 3k cash offers but couldn't let it go for that. Is the new owner a CS member?
My mate has this and wants to sell. I'm thinking of buying but don't know what they're worth.
2005 Black Renault Clio 1.2 16V, and by 1.2 that's what it is not a 182 :o
97k
Has some history but no cambelt change
What's the private market value?
I'm having the cambelt changed on my 182 soon and will be have it done by my friend Matt (Code Red) ex Renault Technical Expert and will be buying a genuine Renault cambelt kit from Renault Wolverhampton so i'll have a parts invoice. I'll also be taking photos of the cambelt change as it will be...
Picked up the new Megane 225 crank pulley from Renault today for the supercharger conversion. Spoke to Adam at Renault to get a price on a cambelt kit and will order on Monday/Tuesday
The kit looks does look really smart, and I've spoken to Andy a couple of times and yes helpful too. Which didn't help matters deciding which way to go!
I'm doing the supercharger conversion with a friend, what with buying the kit 2nd hand it's going to be much cheaper than a drive in drive out...
IIRC the ED kits are 3k with everything and another £500 with the pistons to go high boost (280) If I hadn't have found the supercharger kit on sale here last week I would have either gone ED or AndyRG. I spent weeks and weeks annoying myself what to do with my money. All the best with the project
I believe FatRS has a Petrol Blue, when I was at CSS 13 I was the only Petrol Blue Clio there.
Can't wait to get the ball rolling when the Clio comes off the road so I can make a start a dry fit the intercooler and associated coolers. Then I can take the engine out to do the belt and clutch...
Looks really tidy, are the wheels 16" Supers or Ultras? really tempted to go down this route with a 4 pot caliper conversion. Looks like it's well looked after
That's the plan, I'm just writing out a shopping list of parts and will start working through it over the next 2 weeks. I've just purchased a Renault Laguna DCi for peanuts but won't get that for another 4 weeks as the owners are emigrating to America then. So that gives me time to gather all...
Doing something like this has been on my mind for months and an itch I needed to scratch as quite frankly I was losing interest in the Clio. So I decided to bite the bullet and buy this, for me it's the cheapest and easiest way to get more power. It's not 100% complete but i'll now enjoy getting...
It looks so much better, very tidy. What i've noticed with peoples engine bays is the great attention to detail in finished work but can't help thinking if you go to that much effort why not treat it to a spanking new header tank with fresh Type D coolant
