Agreed, no harm in asking questions. The owner can hopefully answer questions with confidence along with photographic evidence and/or invoices to back it all up. Like anything go with your instincts, if you don't feel positive vibes from the answers or info politely walk away afterwards...
Echoing what @incey-spider has said, I'd be slightly offended if that's what people were thinking.
Mines done 2500 trouble free miles so far, it has an extensive project thread to back up all the work done, parts bought including invoices and went the expensive alternative route to mapping...
I think the biggest thing about buying someone elses charged Clio would be 1: Who's selling it? 2: Who mapped it?
Would anyone stay clear of my charged Clio if it ever came up for sale??
Brilliant pics, I see my friends were there in the Raider, Glacier White, Tungsten Grey R5 GT Turbos and the Coupe Cup race car. The Raider is a thing of beauty, he's also restoring a Renault 11 turbo back to it's former OE glory
My honest opinion, to drive a 100 miles to a park up on a plot of grass within a campsite...... Poor location
Activites, average, catered for people who have children fair enough but that's about it. There didn't seem to be as many Clios attending this year like at Duxford. At least Duxford you...
So I ended up buying just 2 new Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres and had them fitted to the OZ wheels. Saturday morning I headed back to Foundry tyres in Hockley to have all the wheels swapped over, decent chaps and charged me £10 each to swap the tyres from the 182 wheels to the OZ wheels. They...
It's not a bad mod but can be improved on, the tubes on mine were held in place with zip ties. Although what does let it down is the original rubber splitting which has made the tailpipes move slightly out of centre. I reckon the sealant with the tubes would be a better solution than zip ties...
I'm not convinced personally, I needed 2 new tyres so I bought new Michelin Pilots then swapped everything over to the Super Leggeras today. IMO it takes a lot to beat the OE 182 anthracite wheels.

Thanks for all the kind comments, indeed that steering wheel is a work of art Incey but cosmetic jobs like that will probably be done after the wheel/tyre, coilover, geometry jobs are done.
If i go anthracite it means i'll paint them myself, after that i'll have 2 of the Michelins fitted off...
1758.8 miles since conversion

Been a bit quiet lately, I've been buying a few parts for the next phase. Now the power is there with 256 horses I'm addressing other areas such as braking and handling. I have decent Brembo HC discs and plenty of meat on the Ferodo DS2500 pads so...
Group B, WRC and other rally car exotica descend on the German town of Daun for 3 days for this annual event. Daun is pit paddocks to at least 150 rally cars from over 4 decades, surrounding towns host special stages with thousands of spectators all having the chance to see these cars being...
Was just wondering if anyone has fitted 40 profile 16" tyres to their 182. Is it a deal breaker? Only asking as there's a set fitted to some wheels for sale and wasn't sure whether it would make a massive difference or should stick to the OE 45 profile.
Cheers
